I honestly don’t know what the hate for Jay Elect is. That album was phenomenal and was EXTREMELY well received when it dropped.

Hov brought a much needed energy to the album.

The album has some highlights. But one major thing that kills me about that project is why did they add that old a** song shiny suit theory on there?? Most people I know don't like it.

Nas and Hov are the last “Mainstream” hold overs from the Pac & Biggie era still relevant in current generation rap. Think about that. Nas about to get a Grammy TWENTY SEVEN YEARS after he dropped his debut album. That is incredible for Hip Hop as a genre. Simply incredible.

Its kinda blasphemous to put Jay, Biggie, Nas and Tupac as the Mt Rushmore with all the greats that paved the way for them.. but thats the 4 most talked about for damn 30yrs. How can they not be the real Mt Rushmore at this point?

then wayne(08), Cardi(2019), and given how the coli talks about drake then he shouldnt have won either goin by coli logic.

the more artistic albums like Lupe, Nas(08 and 13), Pusha, Nip should have won going by your logic. But they didnt why? because the bigger record won. in Tha Carter, Invasion of privacy and Take care

the grammys isnt about "artistic value" at all. its about everything but that.
