Ive bee in actual beef with nikkas in real life. There is no way in hell that i would go and work for a nikka that I had beef with. If that nikka owned a construction company and i needed a job, Im not gonna work for him, i dont care how much the job was payin. and if he fukked my baby moms? :camby:

I think everyones been in beef with people in real life lol. I tend to agree, serious beef I wouldn't do that. However Jay didn't own the company, he didn't really sign with Jay, he signed with Def Jam where Jay was an employee also, even though an employee in an executive position. And in regards to Carmen, it seemed like Nas felt she was a hoe so wasn't overly trippin, they were both fukking other people. Don't even think it was while they were together? But yes I agree I'd find it difficult to peace up with someone who mentioned my child, in any context other than positive. Might not be beef, but I don't feel I could be cool with them. But everyone's different and has different approaches.

Nas broke? What do you mean? He's a multi millionaire. Ideally yes Nas could have stated his own company business wise, but that's not for everyone, maybe he wanted to focus on being an artist. It's difficult to juggle both, both time consuming hard jobs. But I meant more artistically, I think the deal worked out well for Nas. An the fact him and Jay are cool I think is good too.

Oh you ain't heard about Nas financial troubles and foreclosure of his houses? This is old news, why you think he made an album called "Life Is Good"? His wife divorced him and he went broke, but he got a deal with GAP and he probably in a better space.

The fact him and Jay are cool is great too, but Jay Z made a power move with that one, that's like 50 Cent signing to Ja Rule

I don't really keep up with all that on a huge level. More listen to the music. Got any links in regards to him being broke?

I don't think so, and really did he even really sign TO jay? Jay didn't own Def Jam. It was more a situation like they peaced up to allow the move for Nas to come to Def Jam without any in house conflict.

Jay was the president but that just means he had an executive position within the label. He was an employee, didn't have ownership. Nas still on Def Jam and Jay not the president anymore, so wasn't really signed to Jay. They both never saw it as Nas signing to Jay they said too. Jay said "you can't sign an artist of the stature of Nas, can only partner with him".

Cutting his cheques? Was he paying him?

I don't think this is right at all. They made a business decision, a good one I feel.

this war that these camel warriors have made up to give their man a W against nas is just funny to me!!!:deadrose:

camel got knocked on his ass and got up and continued with business as usual. nas knocked him on his ass, took the W in that situation and continued with his business.

couple years later the camel asked for forgiveness and the don, the gracious and forgiving man that he is, accepted.:handshake:

and then he proceeded to bless the world with quality album after quality album, which will continue next year.:salute::mj:

nas the don, nas the don, nas the don :ahh::ahh:
