I'm not at all a Jay Stan. I did however agree with his quote. Sorta how I agreed with canibus during 2nd round ko. And jay albums were hitting there marks a lot more accurately than Nas' were. There's a reason Nas is dogged by the stigma of being bad at picking beats. It stems from that era.

Jay was the president but that just means he had an executive position within the label. He was an employee, didn't have ownership. Nas still on Def Jam and Jay not the president anymore, so wasn't really signed to Jay. They both never saw it as Nas signing to Jay they said too. Jay said "you can't sign an artist of the stature of Nas, can only partner with him".

They gonna ignore that shyt. Nas is a bonafide legend and his solo albums is right there with Ice Cube.
