Hov stans are furious... nikka already got defeated in the battle that mattered most in 2001.... now they out here desperate for a Verzuz that''ll never happen. :umad:

I don’t know where you got this from because I have no preference one or the other...

I was just correcting you with the fact that the album you say had no hits has 2 songs
that are the definition of hits songs according to the company that invented the term
“hit song”.

Empire State of Mind was cool in 09 but that joint is so played out now. Automatic skip any time it comes on the radio. NY State of Mind could never be played out, that song is eternal.

Now it’s gonna be a b-side fest because Nas don’t have enough hits :bryan:

Why would Jay counter NY State of Mind with Big Pimpin :dead:

That’s an alley oop for him to play Empire State of Mind, Where I’m From, or Welcome to NYC. And like I said Empire State of Mind would win the round because it’s a bigger record. Nikkas will spit Jay’s verses word for word.

It's not going to be B side fest because it's Nas. It's going to be more so what fans of both artists want to hear.

Breh, if Jay Z counters "NY State of Mind" with "Empire State of Mind", it's not going to be an alley oop. It's going to be a brick. Epic brick. #1 hit song, but would not work in a Verzuz against Nas. And yes, he would have to come with something like "Where I'm From" to counter "NY State of Mind". I'm telling you, Jay isn't going to play a bunch of hit records against Nas. He's going to play his BEST songs the same way Nas would pull out his BEST against Jay Z. This is two Hip Hop titans clashing not who had more hits.

That is not a skill breh. If that's the case, the artists are trash and A&R's are the most talented people in music.

You clearly have no understanding of music.

The guy is a fool Jay stans tend to have low
Iq when it comes to music.

You buggin apart from the yankee hat line the most memorable part of that song is the chorus, in fact the song is a hit without Jay

Jay Z would win.

Purposely picking some of Jigga's mid songs :dead:

nikkas in Paris
Apeshyt
H*A*M
Marcy Me/Bam
Big Pimpin
Hard Knock Life
Can't Knock the Hustle
So Ghetto
Izzo
Song Cry
Renegade
03 Bonnie & Clyde
99 Problems
Dirt off Your Shoulder
Numb/Encore
Lost One
Run This Town
Empire State of Mind
D.O.A.
Murder to Excellence

Who the hell wants to listen to run this town
or DOA, in a Nas Jay versus, you are simply
looking at this from a gentrified lens of rap music, which this has never been about from the very start I already told y’all it ain’t about top 40 radio hits.
