I worked for 10 an hr back in 2003, then I got a job paying me $15, and was making $24 in a union machine shop.I know all of us make over 100k on here
But none of these jobs don't pay shyt these days, employers get away with it knowing we can't quit and find a job the next day like we use to be able to.
I've put in maybe 500 resumes in the past 3 months, even with all the experience I have (military, trade aka welding, management) all the offers I got were in the $9-12 an hr range.I worked for 10 an hr back in 2003, then I got a job paying me $15, and was making $24 in a union machine shop.
Employers get away with this entrapment and mental slavery, people are just stuck. I know people getting disability making more then most people who work, the system is set up for this. Companies are making record profits, by paying less and less for qualified people.
Lastly, if these fast food joints did indeed get the $15 an hr how many people would quit and work for buger king, popeyes.

So you think $2000/month after taxes is a lot of money? Everyone who works full time should make a living wage - enough for housing, food, transportation and health care. Where I live on the east coast rent (900) gas/electric (150) food (400) transportation (200) health insurance (200) would only leave $150 left for anything else - cell phone, internet, entertainment, and the biggest of all - unexpected expenses. So you think $2000/month after taxes is a lot of money?
Instead of bytching about what minimum wage workers SHOULD be making, how about you nikkas quit thumbing your nose down at them and demand pay be raised across the board.
Nah, that's to much like right.
:thehell: Thumbing my nose down at them... wtf are you talking about?
The reason $15 minimum wage is too high is simply because there are people who would do the same work for 10.
Supply and demand, nothing more nothing less.
McDonald's workers say more strikes to come - May. 7, 2014'
150 cities, striking to get 15 dollars an hour
i support raising the min wage, but 15 an hour is gonna attract more qualified people than these workerstheres a lotta fukkin kids with degrees who would take 15 an hour
anyway, interesting to see if this happens![]()
imma sit back and watch this develop though...You stupid fukk. That is literally any job ever created, there is alwyas someone to take less than some one else. I swear you dudes is morons.

This doesnt solve the root of the problem tho
