I actually agree that they do.

Tribe had 3 classics
De La has 3 classics
Black Sheep has 1 classic
Jungle Brothers have 1 classic

(Not even counting Pharcyde, Brand Nubian, Common, Mos Def)

Wu has 2
Rae has 1
Ghost has 2
GZA has 1

Death Row
Snoop has 1
Dre has 1
Dogg Pound has 1
2Pac has 2

:comeon:
i just never understood how anybody thinks 'dog food' was an classic

It's like this for me when discussing classic albums: If you're in a group of dudes that are all well learned, avid, educated hip hop fans would you feel the albums you believe are classic would be considered classics with the rest of them? While in that group, and the classic album conversation arose, would you lump Jungle Brothers and Black Sheep albums in with The Chronic, Illmatic, Ready to Die or Infamous? No. So it's not a classic. Let's stop diluting the word in the culture.

I believe Ironman is a classic also.

yeah but I saw the post where you said IF Jungle Brothers is a classic then we can count Return to 36 and Ironman for Wu. I feel that those 2 albums are just as 'classic' as Cuban, Liquid etc. Maybe not as good, but they have huge influence and the necessary quality too.

It's not dependent on JB's status.

You're right. I should have established that I believe Ironman is a classic from jump, because it is.

And it's not close.

3 Feet High and Rising
Peoples' Instinctive Travels in the Paths of Rhythm
De La Soul Is Dead
A Wolf In Sheeps' Clothing
Low End Theory
Midnight Marauders

That's 6 bonafide classics. If you counted Brand Nubian as under the Native Tongues umbrella (I wouldn't) it would be 7 (One For All).
The chronic
Doggystyle
Murder was the case
Above the rim
Dogg food
AEOM

You're right but Illmatic nor the infamous shouldnt be lumped in with the chronic and RTD. THEY didnt mean as much

linx2 fishscale, 6 feet deep, forever aren't classics.

Wu-Tang Forever isn't classic? Really? How so?

6 Feet Deep is hugely influential but idk about quality. It could easily be seen as one. Linx 2 and FishScale need time yet to determine.

It was trash, low replay value, very few memorable songs, more filler than anything. It's like a drink with 80% ice and very little alcohol

you're lying if you say you wouldn't trim down forever. but it's the best double album out of the big 3, and it definately contains a potential 5 mic album.
