Smith is another guy that has that explosiveness and attacking ability that is required of NBA stars. Man, the Lakers botched this draft so bad. So much talent and they took a guy who maxes out as a high end glue guy or maybe 3rd or 4th guy on a contender.

Been saying this well before summer league breh. Lonzo has no ability to beat his man and get to the basket. He only does it when slow footed bigs are switched out on him, and he usually passes it right back out rather than attempting to finish over the top. He's a transcendent passer/play maker, but those guys aren't stars in the NBA anymore unless they're a dynamic scorer/attacker. Name a top 10 player in the game (specifically guards and wings) who can't get to the bucket consistently?Based of what...
Also you do realize Lonzo Ball was the consensus 2nd pick?
Hot takes after 1 summer league.
Dennis Smith is 6 foot tall, doesn't play defense and his jumper is questionable. But please, continue.

There are guys in this draft with that ability already though, why go with Ball over them? You're counting on a lot of improvement when there are a lot of guys who already have that ability. I'll take a 10/10 scorer/attacker and a 6/10 passer over a 6/10 scorer/attacker and a 10/10 passer. It's not so much the foot speed, it's the lack of ball handling. That's something that can be improved(See: Steph). In case you missed it, Steph isn't blowing by guys with his speed, he's blowing by guys with his handle.
Dunn breaking ankles out there.
