I'm getting to the basket if I want and they can't stop it.… I gotta crank up the def awareness to make it some sort of challenge but line you say...thats when shyt gets silly and they'll have you completely dumb out randomly or the cpu defenders can catch up with you by the teleport slide.…. It's just hard to get a good fun competitive and semi realistic game without messing with the sliders to some degree
If you’re getting to the basket too easily, try turning up the body up sensitivity, the contact frequency, and/or the layup defense strength sliders. From my understanding, the defensive awareness affects how perfect the CPU plays D. For example, they don’t get caught up on screens and you rarely get a mismatch. They also are quick to rotate out to shooters.

I gave in and bought this the other day because it was 35% off. It was really like I only paid $14 though because I got $38 in a Facebook class action suit. I haven’t gotten a chance to play a lot, but here’s what I’ll say (keep in mind, I’ve never played prior to the patch):

As someone who enjoyed 2k25, the main thing I didn’t like about it was that shot making felt too inconsistent. I don’t use the meter, but I’m almost certain I would time my shots the same each time, but it felt too random. Even making simple layups with minimal contest seemed random. On 2k26, that doesn’t seem to be the case. I make the shots I feel I should make. What I don’t like is the sped up pace that I’m probably gonna drop a few notches. It’s also harder to place defense after they removed the right stick sliding method. Also, you can’t change your shot mid-air anymore.

Overall, the 2k games don’t have the polish they once did. Someone pointed out how in the LeBron Era, the Lakers play at the Great Western Forum, even tho Staples is in the game in the Kobe era :snoop:

Another little detail I noticed are the replay wipes. In the older eras, they looked more old school on 2k23 and 2k24, but on 2k25 and 2k26, they use the same ones as the modern era.

Do y'all play on the default game speed? That shyt is just way too fast and doesn't mirror real life. I dropped the speed down to 40 and it looks a lot more realistic.

Nope had to turn it down between 45-49. It got better after the last big update but the player movement in general I really dont like…. It's not fluid guys speed burst erratically from move to move they'll randomly warp into each other and sliding instead of feet movement is still a huge problem. Also player feel weightless.… they need to really revamp that entire aspect

Sometimes you may be too good, but jacking up some of the CPU’s sliders just causes them to cheat and do unrealistic things. I know some of the gameplay mechanics are simply 2k shyt as well though. I’m guessing your main issue with them being too easy is they can’t stop you vs you being able to stop them too easily?
Thats a problem in a lot of sports games. I hate having to change sliders because the cpu cheats

With the cloud stuff and lack of graphical increase. A new game should only drop every few years. Most of the “new” things they implement should just be dlc

They don't drop it every few years because they know dweebs will buy it every year while spending another $500 on microtransactions.

Gamers never seem to understand "Vote with your wallet." Theres always some kind of excuse why they got to buy the next game. Its why we dont have GTA 6, despite it releasing on the gawt damn PLAYSTATION 3 and XBOX 360, fukn 3rd generation consoles:scust::francis:

this is why i never played on HOF. computer just be cheating, and it boost the attributes of the CPU players, not the actual IQ of the game.
