Every problem you’ve listed has been in 2k for the past five years. Dumb tiers, restrictive selections for h2h, cheesing exploits, bums who are unemployed and muscle memory players jump shot with dozens of OP badges. This is nothing new. You dudes just buy it every year at full price praying something will change. The devs don’t give a fukk about anything outside MT and MC

Green or miss was NOT in 2K the last 2 years, which is my main issue with the gameplay this year. You could time jumpshots but real life player percentages would always play a part. And half those issues you named were not in 2K the past 2 years.

For anyone who has the game, a couple of quick questions. I know they added signature post moves and it’s supposed to be done by holding up on the left analog or towards the basket while in the post. Does this mean you can no longer do a hook shot? Also, are perimeter sig shots still in the game?

You were not making a shot from the field in competetive gameplay in 2K24 unless you greened it. The timing for freethrows had the window shrunk dramatically in comparison to 2K23 but you didn't have to time it perfectly for a make.

2K24 was NOT green or miss, that was 2K23. I remember I hated 2K23 not only because they added green or miss but because they also made it so your jumpshot would slow down or speed up depending on how tired you were or if a defender was nearby. That game was ass. 24 and 25 were pretty good.

Yes tf it was that’s why people complain about 2k being nba game because people just turbo to the rim. If you were not wide open or hitting green jump shots weren’t going in. Tiers has been in the game going on almost ten years now. Defense has always been trash. PNO has been a joke for years

Naw, you could make some slightly early or slightly late shots in past 2ks. You could test this by going to freestyle practice. Now when it comes to actual games, the SLIGHTEST bit of defense might cause you to miss a shot. My understanding this year is every shot has to be in the green or it’s a miss. I think it’s also easier to green shots as well from what I’ve been reading.

I haven’t played 2k23 in a while, but one thing I do remember is practicing hook shots with Kareem (99 rating) on 2k25 and I would sometimes miss from close range. There wasn’t even a proper shot meter on 2k25. Contrast to 2k24, it was damn near impossible to miss a hook shot and the green window was HUGE. Another thing that’s dumb is that with a player like Steph Curry, even his free throw window is small despite his rating being like a 92.

I took a chance a bit b/c I had a little money to blow and it's nothing else that I want to play this month that's coming out. Haven't really gotten into the game yet because of the long install/patch update.

Since 2K is the only basketball joint around I might start doing these games like I use to do w/NBA Live in the early days and only cop every two years. I remember playing 2K24 and the shooting was garbage and I got my money back. 2K25 was much better and I like the my era concept.
