the problem with these lists is the lack of consistency/understanding of how it’s determined. End of the day AD is clearly a better player than Dwight and has a championship on his resume, so he checks the eye test better player box & is close on accolades depending on how heavily you weigh winning a title
Well you know with no real strict guidelines everybody's criteria is different based on how they feel about a player
I'm sure the players who voted didn't care about stats like PER as much as folks like Bill Simmons, Jackie Mac, Howard Beck but AD is good enough to get votes from both camps to beat Dwight who probably didn't get any player votes

I am by no means saying Dwight didn’t deserve to be on this list but I find it interesting how people now so fondly look back on his career because during his prime he was consistently labeled an underachiever and critiqued for his lack of offensive game. He wasn’t viewed as an all time great center in his prime and many attributed his success to playing in a very weak era for centers
I don’t think it’s a fond look back at his career. All of those statements still apply. But Dwight was one of the best players in the NBA in his prime and accomplished a lot. More than a guy like Lillard.

And to add on, another reason the OGs don't look at him as great is that the bigs that came in after him, did the same dominant ish he was supposed to do - Cousins, KAT, Embiid, Jokic, Giannis, AD. His prime is closer to Chief, and Chief did what Dwight did for longer, and against other Cs...or Zo, that had a similar peak at only a handful of years.

And y'all need to stop the OG disrespect. Y'all really gonna hate on guys like Cousy, Arizin, Schayes, Mikan etc....They were clearly heads above the average player, and even handcuffed still have better numbers than a lot of your favorite modern players.

If I’m these players I’m feeling some kind of way about this list:

Kyrie Irving
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
Chauncey Billups
Dwight Howard
Vince Carter - Vince should be in off of longevity, cultural impact and dunk competition/dunks alone. But I see the argument for also leaving him off

Will edit this as I think of more people who saw this list and went :hhh::picard:

I think when you have to list cultural impact and dunk competitions, perhaps that player doesn't really belong....

Meanwhile Russell Westbrook is on his fourth team in four years. :camby:

2X scoring champ
3X assist champ
1X MVP
2X all star MVP
4 years triple double..

Just for shyts and giggles
Lebron James 1X scoring champ
1X assist champ

If you think Westbrook ain't top 50 you're smoking crack.

Don't forget Pat Bev fukked him up with that injury where he got surgery like 7 times..
Don't forget the years either he was hurt or Durant was hurt..
They were healthy and reached the finals, traded harden then the injuries came
When they got healthy again they went 7 against GS where Durant bytch ass goes and joins them..

In the playoffs Westbrook had 43 and PG had 5...

Westbrook got fukked over..

Besides Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan Vince might be the most skilled player of all time. Had dunks, lay up package, mid range, 3 ball, lil post game, handle and play making.

Might have started off with a spark and then…

But I’d say he’s your favorite hooper’s hooper

Kyrie is way more skilled than Vince.
