I was listening to sports talk radio last week. And buddy was saying draftkings and other sites like it have endorsement deals with the nba. They said adding the gambling money with the endorsement on jerseys are gonna make the cap go up even more.

So a player like AD might one day sign a 250-300 million dollar deal one day. I think Larry c00n was on that day with Colin.

Owners taking a higher share from players during a lockout is not a problem, but lower tier players taking a higher share is a problem:mjpls:

Damn yall boys lack understanding

We dont give a fukk about these owners, they could go bankrupt for all we care

We want superstars to make more. Roleplayers dont even have to make less, we can just increase superstar pay.

Paul millsap should not be able to make 3 million less than lebron

Ok, so who gets to define who gets the superstar label and how do you keep a mid level team from paying a mediocre player like a superstar?

i have no problem with it, as long as the MIL/PHX/ORL type teams can keep their guys. and they seem to be doing that

seeing the big market teams get shut out is refreshing. as long as the products dope and balanced i dont gaf what they make.

I was kind of surprised at the farewell contract the Lakers gave :childplease: a couple of years ago and this contract the Knicks gave :salute:and I am the biggest Kobe and Melo fan. But Tristan Thompson making money like that come:why: on now. I also do think that Lebron is always underpaid. You cant put a number on what a guy like that does for your team.:troll:

When LeBron signs a max deal next offseason when the TV deal kicks in, trust me Millsap won't be making 3 million less

NBA is about to become the biggest sport in North America.

Concussions/deflategate/oversaturation/changes to the way defenses can cover wideouts are chipping away at the pillars of salt the NFL insisted on building it's house upon.

The contrast between how seriously the NFL takes itself, and yet it's posterboy is a CHEATER... compared to the wholesome Steph Curry and his run to being a champion. There are watershed moments that just... happen.. in sports. Someday, people will look back at this season and point to it as the pivot point when the NFL started dropping and the NBA started rising.

Paying players more money and letting the "small markets" (historically bad teams?) compete is not a BAD thing in this context.

Now it's just time for the league to fix: the divisions/the schedule/whoe makes the playoffs/how the playoffs are seeded/the lottery and the draft/expansion into seattle/a 32nd north american team/and eventually global expansion.

Quite frankly: Silver is the man, but he needs to start leading, and stop asking everyone around him for advice.

This is the most pivotal 10 year period in NBA history. I hope he realizes that.

Casual fans will never get interested enough in an 82 game season
