You brought up whiteWhy does suburbs automatically mean white to some of y’all?
There are tons of majority black suburbs in America. And why do some black folks equate to not struggling mean you aren’t really black.
These days suburbs could be more of a “trench” than big cities with gentrification.
A lotta greats came from blue collar households.
There's no "formula".
And even the good hood dudes get spotted and noticed young and placed in these prep schools/academies/private schools. How many of the top players even play in Public School.
Look at this shyt.

Honestly what they should be worried about is the number of international players hitting the league. The more players overseas the less spots for players from the USA whether they from the hood or the suburbs. Why does suburbs automatically mean white to some of y’all?

It was to be expected honestly.. I mean NBA is the best of the best of the best. There's been what, 4,000 players in its history? The margins are so slim, that the x-factor was always going to be money. Best trainers, best diets, best schools from a young age. Kids in the hoods don't have that luxury, and end up falling a step behind.
Ant really from the trenchesLast of a dying breed.

Right, Isiah Thomas was from the straight up warzone in Chicago, he had to take along ass ride to St Johns or St Marys I forgot what highs chool gave him the scholarship,
but the public schools in the hood and never won dominate in basketball, all the hood nikkaz with talents got free scholorships to prep schools and shyt
and most NBA players were just blue color nikkaz, only nikkaz I can think of that's from the trenches like that is Ron Artest, Isiah Thomas, and Lebron who had a golden ticket since he was a kid so that don't really count, I'm only talking about superstars I'm pretty sure it was hood nikkaz in the NBA like Charles Oakley and shyt, but we talking to the real stars it's only be a few real hood nikkaz on that level
Hamidou Diallo from LeFrak CityD-Rose
Melo from B-more
Derozan from Compton (technically a suburb, but…)
Z-Bo
Draymond
Stephen Jackson
Miles Bridges
Monta Ellis
Plenty of Caron Butler, Tony Allen, Mo-Pete types…Shannon brown from maywood, any East St. Louis players, flint, Detroit, chi, etc
Talking about kids from different socio-economical backgrounds having the same opportunity to ascend to play in the NBA is a great topic of discussion.
But saying kids from certain types of backgrounds won’t have a certain “dog” in them is a fallacy at best.
We have got to stop believe that harsh and non-optimized scenarios/environments create more mental stabilize kids/professional, it’s bullshyt.

This is the worst post you have ever made. My nikka you literally said it is more impressive for someone who has every resource to not fukk yo the bag than it is for someone with no resources to go get the bag. And that in a nutshell is why there is no class consciousness is the United States and why we have all this economic inequality. People of means think it was all their own merit or it was deserved and people without means are taught to admire them even they their story has little connection. Kobe is my favorite basketball player ever and there isn’t a single thing about his story more impressive than the LeBron James story.
But the bigger point that you’re missing is that nothing in America is a meritocracy but we always felt that sports was. It was the one place where you could get a ddfrrhThe recent trends have turned basketball into the same thing as every other facet of American society from law to finance to engineering and business.
Dude left a tweet got ppl and nba players in their feelings .. honestly I think it’s gonna make the game worse in the future, they will be super skilled but have no “dog” in them
What y’all think?
If you’re good enough you’ll find a way to make it, your connections don’t matter if you fail on the courtThere is something to be said about the current system prioritizing these expensive leagues and travel teams and they in some ways do marginalize talent from the poorest areas.
If you’re not a part of a known program or academy it seems less likely you’re going to get a serious look and consideration from coaches and scouts.
It’s kind of messed up.
my post agreed that Chris Webber wasn’t from “the trenches.”That's not the trenches, most people in the country are working class ain't nothing wrong with that
nikkaz acting NBA players are street nikkaz ,and that was never the case
The suburb nikkaz families are working class too, they just moved to the suburbs to get away from ignorant nikkaz
