And what’s crazy i was gonna mention in the op that I remember reading the same thing about soccer and baseball in the u.s like 10 years ago
It also appears at the quarterback position. These kids begin to have QB tutors in middle school and sometimes earlier. That's why Lamar Jackson is my favorite player he's truly not supposed to be where he is.

Lol of course it was exaggerated.. but if you think it’s not a sign of what’s to come you not paying attention

and it does then so what?

people look at it from one side, yea they're extremely blessed and fortunate to have resources available to them that other kids don't have but the fact these kids still grind even though they already got everything they want and could live off their fathers name is just as impressive as the rags to riches story if not more impressive. being complacent and lazy is fukking easy and they would have every right to do so.

shyt is myth NBA players came from the trenches, I mean some really did like Isiah Thomas

but most these times these nikkaz was like a chris webber, coming from a good family not in the streets going to the best private schools for free playing basketball

nikkaz like Ron Artest were rare in the NBA in any era

Yes and no, it’s a melting pot and becoming more diverse. Majority might be all from good households but there’s nothing wrong with that either. It’s not easy to make it in the league and play for 10 plus years.

Chris Webber came from a very working class family.

But the better point is Chris Webber was able to be plucked out of his working class home and attend one of the best high school’s in the United States.

Thats what we are seeing more now, except at younger ages.

easier to say that then to explain wtf you're talking about...

NBA players still come from the hood, they're just getting picked off at a young age to play at prep schools. the days of the derrick rose's living in the hood and playing for public schools in the inner city is pretty much over with.

Talking about kids from different socio-economical backgrounds having the same opportunity to ascend to play in the NBA is a great topic of discussion.

But saying kids from certain types of backgrounds won’t have a certain “dog” in them is a fallacy at best.

We have got to stop believe that harsh and non-optimized scenarios/environments create more mental stabilize kids/professional, it’s bullshyt.

That’s actually the better way to say it and how the dude that made the tweet should’ve put it .. but I figured ppl would equate a player going to a public school = trenches (more than likely) vs players going to private schools = suburban (more than likely) .. but you right
