Gonna be interesting where they go, because it's gonna effect the scheduling and travel for the entire league

Then with only 6 weeks until the season, do they dare have FA before the draft? If it's after the draft, then you only have a week and a half between draft, FA and start of training camp. Teams are gonna have to figure shyt out quickly

Will be interesting with no fan revenue wonder how the pockets will be for MLSE

Yeah, VR fan experience maybe? Sell merch and jerseys with the US-city name on it?

There's been some talk of bringing fans into arenas, but I don't see any of that being possible in a lot of states, especially when I've read about putting fans only in luxury suites, having rapid testing on site and having testing "passports" for fans. It's the responsible thing to do in order to have fans at the arena, but that's a lot of time and money to be spent to be only at like 10-25% capacity. Having rapid testing for hundreds-thousands of people on game day would be nuts

I know I’m just disappointed that these nikkas are putting tv contracts and shyt over real issues but it’s money at the end of the day For these corporations. This season just ended last month SMH

There are some pretty severe financial implications for not starting in December.

It's one of these cities:
  • Newark (Prudential Center)
  • Kansas City (T-Mobile Center)
  • Nashville (Bridgestone Arena)
  • Tampa Bay (Amalie Arena)
I guess Buffalo would make sense, but they haven't been linked to Buffalo yet

If they're serious about saving money on travel, Newark or one of the NYC arenas should be the only places they are thinking of ... the others should be considered only if they are 100% they can get fans and arena revenue out of it. They probably can only guarantee fans won't be banned in Florida, but getting them to show up regularly would be another story.

Yeah from a travel and health/safety perspective (I'm sure NJ has the lowest covid numbers of the 4 states), Newark's the best choice.
