Believe it or not I don't want expansion. However, basketball fans and media are dying for a team preferably in Seattle and Las Vegas without getting rid of anything. We can forget about relocating. That's a losing battle. Would some fans rather see a couple of teams move to fill Seattle and Vegas? If they could, but you listed 8 teams to shutter or move. Never happening. That's embracing the belief that your league is failing miserably.
I don't see the demand from basketball fans for expansion.
Making a team in Vegas was never a fan concern, that is what the NBA ownership wanted.
Seattle wants a team back, but thats a local issue.

The NBA has contracted before it can happen, its not likely as all those teams make money and the NBA isn't as ran as stringently as the NFL.
That said the NBA is suffering from a dilution problem.

That’s the larger point

Why do these teams even exist if it’s “bad” for the league for them to be good :skip:

Is the argument that certain teams need to be a permanent underclass in order for the league to thrive at a certain level?

:ohhh:

Fukked up that for 30 years Indiana been the lovable underdog that nobody actually wants to see win when it comes down to it:mjlol:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Let's keep this in perspective....

1. How many of you on here have a Nielsen ratings box tracker on your tv? I'd guess no more than 1 person, if any of you. Do we need to explain again how this works and is wildly inaccurate numbers?

2. The highlight video on YouTube has over 3 million views already. People are interested.

3. I'd be interested to know how many YouTube TV STREAMS they had.

4. Who gives a shyt. I'd rather see a game like last night than a boring ass Lakers-Knicks finals with a giant ratings number, which really doesn't mean anything
Ratings are irrelevant. I’ve been watching everything on pirated sites for years.

No, it wasn't marketed at that.
It was the Boston Celtic dynasty, and when Wilf was with philly, it was the Boston - Philly rivalry, led by...
When wilt was with Golden State it wasn't really a rivalry but the Warriors won the title, and etc.
:mjlol: nikka, was ya parents even alive during that era? You talking like you was watching it

:mjlol: Ya pops was lying to you. He don’t know shyt. The only thing people remember about the 60s is Wilt and Bill Russell
Just more idiocy when you tried and failed your original critique.

So again you can even listen to actual players talk from the era and then talk about the transition in the 80s to the NBA marketing individuals compared to the previous era of teams. It int hard.
