There’s now some buzz that an upset is possible after game 1. They’ll probably be up slightly more in game 2, everyone knew this was coming though

the reality is, most folks dont know whotf Haliburton is, and only so many folks know about Shai.

This finals is for true ball heads, the ratings were never gonna be lit.

Not surprising at all and should of been expected... There's not enough star power and there's no team prestige to carry this series. Hopefully Adam silver and co starts pushing more of these younger cats along. I know it was corny but they need a modern NBA is fantastic like campaign to introduce people to these players...

Let's keep this in perspective....

1. How many of you on here have a Nielsen ratings box tracker on your tv? I'd guess no more than 1 person, if any of you. Do we need to explain again how this works and is wildly inaccurate numbers?

2. The highlight video on YouTube has over 3 million views already. People are interested.

3. I'd be interested to know how many YouTube TV STREAMS they had.

4. Who gives a shyt. I'd rather see a game like last night than a boring ass Lakers-Knicks finals with a giant ratings number, which really doesn't mean anything

there's not enough star power in the league. Why everyone runs from this reality is crazy. Those days might be over because the league is incapable of producing even a Caitlin Clark-esque figure.

To make it worse, there's a GENERATIONAL superstar in the draft every year, which cheapens the word.

The NBA is witnessing the carnage they set up by convincing basketball fans that only 5-6 teams are worth your time. Now, it works internationally, but internationally, whether it's soccer or basketball, only a handful of teams are worth your time too, so they're used to that. We tend to tune shyt out when our team is out.

None of these youngins aee appealing to y'all now that y'all know so much about them.
