It's not just about small markets. There's been players who have transcended the game on small market teams.

Haliburton is becoming a superstar before our eyes during this postseason but what about SGA? Does anyone outside of the bball bubble care about dude?

I would assume people who aren’t familiar with the Pacers game turned it off early because they were down double digits

So if everyone in Texas watched the game, but nobody else, it would affect you in some way cause it recorded 30 million viewers? Also how does it affect you?

If I recall right you also used to think charts and record sales are more important than the music.

Let's keep this in perspective....

1. How many of you on here have a Nielsen ratings box tracker on your tv? I'd guess no more than 1 person, if any of you. Do we need to explain again how this works and is wildly inaccurate numbers?

2. The highlight video on YouTube has over 3 million views already. People are interested.

3. I'd be interested to know how many YouTube TV STREAMS they had.

4. Who gives a shyt. I'd rather see a game like last night than a boring ass Lakers-Knicks finals with a giant ratings number, which really doesn't mean anything

I agree it's an outdated archaic system that use to measure

They have to get people invested in the regular season again and transition the NBA away from individuals and back towards teams, division rivalries, and conferences.
Bingo.

ESPN is going to complain about small market teams and want Silver to "favor" Lakers/Knicks/Celtics over everyone else.

NFL has already shown that the small market shyt doesn't really matter if you do it right. It's more about the brand than the location.
