Baltimore probably has the worst arena in the fukking nation. The shyt was outdated in the 70s.

There's a stage in it. A fukking stage. It might as well be a high school auditorium. There's a reason all the big ass concerts go to New York, Philly, skip Baltimore, then go to DC.

I would love for us to get an NBA team, but the absolute number one thing to do first is build a brand new arena.

Whats you point?

The Ravens played at Memorial Stadium stadium prior to M&T

The Wizards at times play at Royal Farms arena - so its possible...

And the real reason big concerts skip Bmore is because its a big city but not a major city/market....

Montreal
Montreal NBA team would work low key @Jamal :lupe:

I don't think Montreal is a very good market for basketball. Sure we've gotten good crowds for Raptors pre-season games but that's because Montreal is more of an event town than a sports town. Outside of hockey, this city is very bandwagonish and only supports winners, just look at how the fans abandonned the Expos after the 1994 strike. The same thing is happening to the CFL team and the Impact were losing fans until Drogba signed here. In addition, the French papers and TV stations barely even acknowledge the NBA. I was reading the Journal de Montreal newspaper back in June and not one mention was made about the Cavs-Warriors series and RDS doesn't even show basketball highlights. I've never met a French Canadian that I could have an in depth conversion about basketball with. The NBA would be making a HUGE mistake by putting a team here, the only thing we have to offer is a world class arena.

They tried this already and it failed :what:

This is a terrible idea..
LOL, oh yeah? explain to me why it is a bad idea?

because things the way they are today are the same as they were when they left?
or how Vancouver is considered to be one of the best cities in the world?

more Canadians are in the NBA than ever before and players are no longer afraid to play or go to Canada.

Steve Nash doing a lot in Vancouver has also helped

Yeah players want to pay those high ass taxes in Canada ok..

Canada doesn't need another team. Seattle should get a team way before Vancouver should even be considered.

I didn't say they couldn't support a NBA team.. but they definitely can't support 2 NBA teams:martin:Don't confuse The Strip with the actual city of Las Vegas

The NHL already has a team coming there, it looks like the Raiders will apply for relocation in January and if they get a NBA team somebody is going to be assed out. And I say hockey would be first on that list followed by a NBA team. The Raiders would be fine because its only 8-10 Sundays out of the year. Alot of tourist will fly in and make it a weekend out of an NFL game. The NBA and NHL will mostly be dependent on the locals of Vegas on a nightly basis. Have you seen Vegas off the Strip:comeon:

YES I HAVE .. ITS A DECENT SIZED CITY. WITH THE STRIP INCLUDED, ITS NOT EVEN IN QUESTION.

see this is where ignorance really kicks in.
Canada's taxes aren't as high as ppl claim to be.
in fact they are lower than a lot of places in the US (like NY, Cali, etc.)

Why should Seattle get a team before?
history? you think owners give a fukk about history??
Vancouver has a arena already to play in. which makes it easier to move.
which means its cheaper to get in to with no hassle.

regardless, I think Seattle AND Vancouver should get teams before anyone else.

Seattle doesn't even have a nba arena

Do you even know how Vancouver is? You need over a mill to even buy a average ass house it's not some backwater city it's a worlf class city that has held a expo and a olympics. And has a world class arena

It took Toronto 20 years to have all star players that's willing to stay and build with the team. Free agents that sign with the raptors are of the Landry fields Cory Joseph variety. Having a team in Vancouver would be an even larger competitive disadvantage, especially if the team isn't competitive immediately (it won't as an expansion team).
