But we drafted Poole we shouldn’t be penalized for paying him
You probably won’t, but ya’ll didn’t only draft your core guys you got KD that turned into Russel/Wiggins on your cap book. The warriors didn’t just over the cap they stayed there.

Anyhow it all depends on the timing of when this goes into affect but it may not affect ya’ll drastically. It may make keeping Draymond harder, but the warriors chose Poole over him already.

We only got KD just off the strength Steph had one of the most player friendly contracts in the league due to his previous ankle issues.. otherwise if that wasn’t the case we wouldn’t have been able to attain KD..

In an attempt to curb load management and lost games among star players, the NBA is tying eligibility for postseason awards -- such as All-NBA teams and MVP -- to a mandatory 65 games played. The 65-game minimum does come with some conditions.

feels like this is kind of going under the radar. even though the whole "with some conditions" means there will loopholes.

Kind of a "boring" CBA because they didn't touch the one and done.

Contract extensions being incentivized over free agency signings means we'll be seeing a lot more roster turnover due to teams playing hardball in contract negotiations.
It'd actually create less roster turnover in most cases as it'd put more emphasis on teams signing current players to contract extensions early rather than waiting until FA and that's before you factor in how hard it would be to replace players via FA as it is with a lot of teams already at or over the cap.

Depends on the player. I think top, all-star level players will stay more but players who are a little more questionable may have a hard time getting every penny. Like a FVV who is a fringe all-star, really good player, but if he's demanding a max you'll let him test the waters.

Norfeast groovin…
Penalizing teams for re-signing players they drafted that never played for another franchise is stupid/asinine...A team like GS who drafted Curry/Klay/Green should not get hit with a tax for re-singing them.

I agree, if a team does all the right things they get penalized? Not even a Warriors fan but there was a time they were trash. I respect that they worked their way up. You should be able to keep your core players.
