Mehhh

1. Every “contender” isn’t 17 million over the tax threshold
2. Most buyout players don’t impact teams winning a tittle anyways

The most relevant thing here tho is sending out picks 7 years away ..that’s like the “lakers” rule as teams over leveraged cap wise and draft asset wise can’t just shoot out a future 2030 pick to Danny Ainge anymore to get more help :mjlol: This should be a good thing ultimately tho for those who worry about “competitive balance” because for so long it was “hey just get the biggest stars and the rest will come to ring chase” now it’s a different calculation front offices will have to make because building around the highest priced free agents won’t be as easy …you really need to draft and develop young talent …I presume the brick price on those second round picks is going to go up for that very reason …getting it right with those players suddenly becomes immensely more valued

Honestly the nba players should vote CJ McCulloum bozo ass out of his union position.. This collective bargaining gave all the leverage to the owners and these was negotiated off of CJs ego because he been getting spanked by Steph and them for damn near a decade… clown ass nikka

That shyt has nothing to do with what I said. We are talking about the players and not the average person :mjlol:
It has everything to do with the culture around gambling and why the team owners allowed the players to be apart of the profiting from these gambling companies just like the league can with their advertising …again you claimed that “people are going to pay more attention to those players who publicly have those type of deals.” Who are the “people” you’re talking about? Other players? How does that even make sense :mjlol:

The fact is culturally this gambling shyt isn’t something that “people” are sitting around worrying about (as we see with those Super Bowl numbers) …not the fans obviously not the players and clearly not the owners …so why are you?

If this deal was in place earlier Donovan Mitchell would have been a Brooklyn net right now.

Exactly I can't see the fans caring about this. As a fanbase we have no reference of “cup” games outside of college, and those are cooked in rivalries with teams competing to get into March Madness all year.

It's not like winning a division guarantees a playoff spot.
I think it does. What the league stopped doing was guaranteeing a Top 4 seed.

Culturally, sports gambling is something people worry about when they are losing. Every game someone accused a ref of fixing the game, and players as well. Hell, all that is needed is another Black Sox situation. They promoted their company, and you saw a huge influx of bets for a game that the players agreed to manipulate. Any link to sports betting should be outlawed, including investing in that industry.

People can of course gamble on sports now so being upset because you’re losing or thinking someone cheated isn’t a new dynamic that’s being introduced ..it’s a molehill that nikkas are trying to turn into a mountain for some weird reason

Should be outlawed for what ….the Black Sox situation was over 100 years ago nikka lol let that shyt go and on top of that gambling WAS against the rules then and it still didn’t stop them so thank you for making my point :mjlol:

There won’t be any parity… so you penalize owners who spend money to put a winning product on the floor and reward blatantly cheap owners who don’t give a fukk about winning? Bozo shyt

All these cheap bum ass owners ever cared about was living off the tit of teams deep in the luxury tax with revenue sharing smh

Big money teams should threaten not to revenue share since they are being penalized for drafting and developing their players..

When Bron, KD, Steph and the like hang up their shoes the NBA going to be in big fukkin trouble
Well those teams won’t be deep in the luxury tax anymore so what are you bytching about? Prioritize who you want to keep and build the rest of your roster with young guys like the majority of sports leagues. Boom. Parity.

Did you even read the collective bargaining agreement you fukkin bozo? If you did you would see it punishes teams who spend money to win and reward cheap ass owners who aren’t trying to win..

fukkin clown go somewhere and play in traffic if you ain’t got nothing to provide in the sports discourse
