Getting basketball back on channels that everyone has was important, I am glad everyone got to see a great game too.
younger people don't have channels. They have apps. That's why Peacock is gonna be huge for what NBC wants to do and would rather use Peacock exclusively than simulcast on USA (which is what they do for some Prem League games and what I thought they'd do when they got the package).

point is some people live off the phone/tablet. That's who the league is tryna reach out to by appealing to the streaming services.

Clearly network TV still matters in the grand scheme of things. Use die hards just wish NBC would overhaul even more of what they air to just air more hoops which is wishful thinking because we're misremembering how NBC used to air games.

Here's another grand idea....have your local network channels broadcast your cities team like you use to might help engagement :troll:
The Heat are doing this with the local ABC affiliate but only for like 12 games

We’ve suffered from LeThot and his tendencies for too long! we are almost free :banderas:
It’s actually unreal how obsessed you are. You walked into a thread about ratings and the first thing on your mind was a dude who didn’t even play.

The ratings are up because the games are on network TV. It’s really that simple. That same model is why NBC nfl games vastly outrate ESPN ones. Cable is where ratings go to die.

You will conveniently ignore the fact that LeBron kept the NBA afloat for nearly 20 years and pretty much all of the highest rated regular season and playoff series involve him.

You will ignore the fact that the finals he’s participated in have been the most watched since Jordan. (2013 Game 7 26.2m, 2016 Game 7 31.2m, nothing else is close in the modern era except Lakers-Celtics G7 2010, keep in mind that’s a storied rivalry between 2 major sports markets.)

You will ignore every fact presented to you because you’re an obsessed fakkit. Your mother should’ve swallowed you.
