How do you use an example to support logic and in the same post use another example to defy logic?NBA is a star driven league- If you cant lead your team to a 'ship, its now becoming a direct reflection of your talent/leadership skills/hunger. Real talk
AP will never have to win a 'ship and people will still recognize him as a top 5 RB of all time, no questions asked. Because one football player cant right the entire ship.
Basketball on the other hand, with only 5 players on the court, the finger pointing is a lot easier to do. No one wants that on their legacy

Obviously it's a team game. It's all just for the sake of argument. We shyt on Lebron for needing to play with 2 other stars when so many other Championship teams and especially dynasties had the same thing. Now there's a certain amount of "help" you should get, and if you get "too much" you're a lesser player for it? it's all BS.
btw I'm a bulls fan and I hate the heat, but I can at least be honest lol

I was gonna say this but I didn't know all the instances
You know those do not get talked about its funny as hell I mean look at those teams jordan lost to the Magic because of no rebounding...the bulls went and got Rodman and he was grabbing like 17 per game...Lebron gets in the post and He grabs those rebounds thats why i respect him....Its just funny the goal post are moved for this group of players Melo had a good team but damn the Spurs and the Lakers was never going to lose to those nuggets team.

Because the FO got him those players and did not waste time and had good scouts to find those players.....and magic just landed on the Lakers but did not want to go to the Bulls because he wanted to play with KAJ.
No its not that Players are scared. Its just that they have smarten up and aren't about to fall for the "next michael Jordan" agenda the league has tried to push. Nikkas know that being the man on a bullshyt(or almost) team does not mean much.
Kobe wasted his prime b/c he fell for the "next michael jordan" shyt too. He signed that 7 year contract knowing full well that the team couldn't contend for 2-3 years. Nowadays the best players aren't going to do that.

Yes its like if you try they push that on you and say you will never be Jordan. Why do you have to be him just play the game if you around 6'6 and a 2 and you can put up points you might as well not even play because you are behind the 8ball before you start.

Whereas other great players who did not appear to "take control" are the anti-Bron and deserve more credit because they allowed their front office to surround said great player with good help?
So what do you make of Kobe's pre-Pau demand for a trade if he didn't get more help? Closer to Bron or closer to Magic?

I wish I knew why certain players get criticized more than others. I just know once there's a narrative on your game or career, it's hard to change that. outside of winning a championship, not much you can do. I think we crown people too easily as well. for years it was Lebron and Melo out of that 03 draft class. Obviously, Lebron is the better overall player, but is it really that necessary to keep comparing the two? Melo is what he is. Appreciate that on it's own instead of what he should've or could've been.
