Yes its like if you try they push that on you and say you will never be Jordan. Why do you have to be him just play the game if you around 6'6 and a 2 and you can put up points you might as well not even play because you are behind the 8ball before you start.
notice how most of the people in the media who were criticizing Lebron for teaming up with Wade and Bosh used "he'll never be better than Michael Jordan" or "he doesn't have that dog" in him as argument? GMs and Owners was were mad b/c the great players weren't willing to stay on a shyt team, be the main attraction to maintain(or increase) the profitability of their franchises anymore. And now looking back, you can say that "the decision"(and the new CBA) changed the NBA for the better.
That's why I :salute: Lebron for never trying change his game despite the criticism. Why you think Jordan who is crazy competitive to the point of being vindictive, goes out of his way to take swipes at Lebron? B/c he knows Lebron is the only one who can threaten his place. I love Kobe but the fact that he chose to replicate Jordan ensured that at best he'd be as good as Jordan but never better.

"that Dog" was crying on the bus because he was sick and tired of losing buts thats ok right? Kobe is a great player but damn those years when he wanted to BE Jordan was creepy walking like him trying to talk like him chewing gum like him was weird.....Kobe was wearing Bulls jackets and smoking cigars for crying out loud.....WTF was that about? We at a point when someone says something we say Jordan would have not said that.....we cant be ourselves any more we have to be carbon copy's of others to get respect now?smh

NEW ERA
The media and fans created this. Don't have a problem with it now when you're part of the reason it's like this now.

NBA is different from other sports. Titles define legacies. Unless you got MVP's/DPOY or some other individual stat to bring to the table.

For people who can't think/watch games for themselves or have agendas. It's not just he NBA it's like that in the NFL too.

And that seems wrong you mean to tell me that X player did not work as hard as Y player because he does not have a title? the better the situation the better the chance to win....People wanted Lebron to win with Mike Brown but Mike brown was not good enough for Kobe to win with ....I heard this is LA Lakers Not the Cavs we want a better coach....How does that sound?

Jordan didn't have any say on drafts and trades. He wasn't calling people on the last year of his deal to team up with players.
But if he did not do something the Thunder had at the Time like 3-4 players the celtics the same ....I know what you wanted for lebron to stay on the cavs try to cover rondo who was killing mo williams and then cover KG who was killing jamison and then watch pierce ......then grab 15 rebounds and have 11 asst and put up 30-40 points and still lose or maybe win...then try to win in the next round doing the same thing and maybe get to the finals burnt out and if he won that say kobe got 5 you got one...Yeah thats what you wanted...:russ:

(1) We don't know what Jordan was doing behind the scenes, because we just didn't have access like we do today...
(2) Jordan was a HUGE money maker...If you think he didn't have a say behind the scenes, then you are being naive...
(3) In Jordan's time the game was still a team sport...I think terminalogy like "this is so and so' team" and "role players" came after Jordan, because of Jordan...
(4) Why would he do that when he was playing alongside Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and other very potent 3 point shooters...

Since I have been watching the NBA, I have yet to see a team win without (A) 2 very good players who complement each other (B) 1 good defensive player (C) 2 other very underrated guys who are deadly in the clutch (Robert Horry and Derrick Fisher as example) (D) 1 underrated player who is very effective playing limited minutes and coming off the bench...

It's a team sport...Why is it that San Antonio can have Parker, Duncan and Ginobli (in their prime, they were as deadly as any combination of 3 players, and they have the titles to prove it)...?

To win you need to be on a team with good players who are capable of getting along professionally...

Wherever nikkas need to be told on

No thats what being put out there let your FO no matter how bad put the team around you and tough it out and play there until your prime is gone then that same loyal team trade you for pieces. And you supposed to understand and never ask for a trade or leave as a free agent because it is a business and you understand......Thats the logic

Ah, yes, I thought we were on the same page. :shake: It's a strange logic indeed.

You do know that Scottie Pippen is one of the best SF ever right?? Jordan needed him to win. If so then why are you demanding much more from players today? You want them to win with less talent than Jordan did?? shyt Kobe won a championship with less talent than either Mavericks, Heat or Boston have/had but he still dont credit for it.
Him and Lebron should get more credit for taking the teams that they did to the finals? Lebron with that Cavs team and Kobe with that 08 team.

In most cases fans care WAAAAAY more about a players legacy then the actual players do.
