Hell no. I'm serious. The hockey stadium can host basketball games and it will. They will be the Seattle Kraken. Seattle is in too deep and the Seattle Kraken designs and colors are straight up better than the Supersonics. We are not joking up there about this.
No, it’s gonna SuperSonics or just simply Sonics. There is no way another NBA franchise in Seattle will be anything other than that. It’s like when Winnipeg got the Thrashers from Atlanta, it’s gonna be the Jets since the original franchise was called that.

I am closer to this than you. There will never be a basketball team named the Kraken.

The SuperSonics are the Thunder now. We cannot have that name!

Dude...my grandfather owns Seattle.
Well dig him up and cite him because nothing you're saying supercedes my *specific* knowledge to the planning of climate pledge arena, the kraken facilities, amenities in CPA already made for an NBA team, the fact that the lawsuit settle between buyers and sellers had a stipulation that the sonics name would be transfered to a team in a new or renovated arena team in Seattle, or the fact that professional sports teams don't share fukking names or branding :dahell:

We are laughing at you now for a reason. But hey, what do we know....your grandfather owns Seattle, dude :mjlol:

A league that already has questionable respect for fans (not clamping down on load management abuses, inability for local fans to watch their teams on television without jumping through hoops/apps, etc) does NOT need to be in the business of yanking teams from cities.
a truthful post that resonates..... honestly man the NBA respect for fans is low and it sucks as a big fan
