No, it’s gonna SuperSonics or just simply Sonics. There is no way another NBA franchise in Seattle will be anything other than that. It’s like when Winnipeg got the Thrashers from Atlanta, it’s gonna be the Jets since the original franchise was called that.

Seattle won the rights to the Sonics history, name, and logos when the city sued Clay Bennett. The Thunder will give the history and name back to Seattle when they get an expansion team.
