Has anyone actually named 75 yet? Hard to claim there's gonna be snubs/inclusions if you ain't even counting them up.
Not going to lie I count about 15 off quick glance that's definitely going to be erased.
Well there hasn't been 25 all-time greats since '97. I could be wrong
There's gonna be somewhere between 5-10 players from the old list that are gonna get bushed.
There's gonna be some crazy snubs from today's game too. Watch they mess around and leave off dame dolla.
Maybe 5...and that's a stretch. No way there's 10 they remove. Dame & AD are probably the 2 current snubs...but there aren't that many from current...not in the twilight of their career
Regardless of who is actually better, NBA ain't gonna erase 50s/60s players who were dominate in their era. Paul Arizin and Bill Sharman weren't that good but they got too many accolades in their era to omit them unless the NBA starts saying the 1950s don't even count anymore.
Here are the 30 modern players off the top of my head who might make the list:
Bron
Kobe
Duncan
Dirk
CP3
Durant
KG
Payton
Wade
Dwight
Harden
Curry
Iverson
Nash
McGrady
Webber
Vince
Dikembe
Webber
Pierce
Ray
Kidd
Yao
Melo
Westbrook
Giannis
Kawhi
Dame
AD
Jokic
10 snubs from the OG list who might make it now: Wilkins, English, Gilmore, King, Dantley, McAdoo, Moncrief, Dumars, Rodman, Miller
5 of the weakest on the OG list.....DeBusschere, Thurmond, Wilkens, Parish, Worthy
Assuming the 45 OG's I didn't name are all staying, then only 30 of those 45 can make the 75 list. Gotta erase 15 of the names I wrote. Who is it?
Off the top, I wouldn't include DeBusschere, Wilkens, Miller, Dumars, Dikembe, Webber, Vince, Ray, Yao, Dantley. Need to cut 5 more....perhaps Parish, Worthy, Dame, King, and Moncrief?
Edit: Looking at my own list wondering if it was unfair to assuming Rodman but leave Ben Wallace off completely....throwing Wilkens, English, McAdoo, etc. all on there might be biasing towards scorers a lot...
