That would be fire.

Or at least a 30 minute show to educate people on these players. It would be the first time the NBA would acknowledge its past.

Also, I don’t understand why Billy Cunningham being taken off the list by many people. Man was a 24 and 12 player before he tore his ACL.

I also wonder if someone like Gus Johnson sneaks on to the list.

They had a ceremony for the Top 50. Brought everyone out, gave them jackets and hardware...

I really don't think they take more than 5 off, if that. They definitely leave 50-60s players on there. It may be best to do the list over. The Top 50 still are acknowledged as such and etched in stone.

Out -> In
Lenny Wilkens -> Dominique
Worthy -> Artis Gilmore
Chief -> Alex English
Pearl -> Dantley
Jerry Lucas -> McAdoo

The remaining 25
Kobe
Duncan
Lebron
KG
Dirk

Durant
Westbrook
Harden
Curry
Dwight

Kidd
Nash
AI
GP
Deke

Wade
Ray Allen
Reggie
Melo
Paul Pierce

Giannis
Webber
Vince
Tmac
Mully

Giannis only makes it because of this past season, but AD, Dame, Jokic, Embiid, Kawhi, don't make this list. They don't have the numbers.

Rodman may get a spot on the 75, but it would be over Tmac or Mully. Vince has like 25K points. He's in. Mully Dream Team 1, and one of the few to avg 25ppg for 5 straight seasons.

Why would you take those names off?

“Giannis top 75?” And “Giannis probably gets in”

:russ::russ::russ::russ::russ:

Look at ranked top 30 players on most websites, magazines, analysts, etc and Giannis has already surpassed most players in the 25-30 area. 2 MVP’s, 1 FMVP, 1 defensive player, 1 ring. He already top 30, I say top 25 but 30 is thr worst I’m willing to go. 2nd greatest PF of all time as well

Some of these people believing Chris Webber & Tracy McGrady get in but Kawhi & Giannis are debatable

Can’t Wait

Yao aint no top 75 player ever. Yall disrespect players who had full careers.
Feel u on this bruh. Yao was a damn good player the latter half of his career but the injuries and games missed means he CAN'T be on this list. If he had a ring or something during his abbreviated career you MAYBE could make a case for him just like Walton but i don't see him getting one of the spots with the players they originally left off and with the ones that they can add that are still playing.

As for Giannis, we can't compare accolades over different eras like that. Over the past 15 years, they've made arguments for All-Teams using different criteria than in the past. Selections used to be PG, SG, SF, PF & C. Now it's 3 bigs and 2 Gs. That changes a lot. And Giannis been in the league 8 years, and has had 4 stellar seasons. The rest of those players came in the league tearing ish up. They also played in an era to where once you started your fall off, gone were those All-whatever selections. We can't count the trajectory. It's about what he's done so far.

In the Top 50, Shaq was controversial but in those first 4 seasons, he avg like 27 & 12 with 3bpg....and had already been to a Finals, led the league in scoring, and didn't even have an MVP.

Yao just barely misses in my opinion but he did have 5 All-NBA selections even in his abbreviated career, which is more than PP managed in a full and basically injury-free career.

More All-Star and All-NBA selections than a lot of guys who make the list. Short career and lack of MVP candidacy or playoff resume just barely keep him off for me.

Yao Ming had two seasons in his career where he averaged double digit rebounds despite being one if the tallest guys in the world. Stop the nonsense.

I’ve said this a million times. All nba teams don’t mean anything. All nba awards are team success awards. Thats not how you compare players or decide which player is greater than the other.

Pierce’s best season ever and highest scoring season ever he doesnt make an all nba roster, yet in two seasons of the big 3 era he makes 2nd and 3rd all nba averaging around 19pts. Go figure. Meaningless award.

I’m taking Giannis over KG, Malone, Barkley and Dirk

Other than Dirk, none of those guys won a ring as the number 1.

Giannis already has more MVP’s than everyone other than Malone. More rings than Barkley and Malone. all nba defensive winner over everyone other than KG.

I know you said he can eventually catch up, the only thing he gotta catch up is to all nba selections.
Giannis should great potential in the post in the finals, but he hasn't played the position that much historically

He was basically a point small forward before so I can't say 2nd best power forward yet

This is going to be a bloodbath

There's going to be some guys that go from top 50 to not even mentioned at all...I also think there's going to be guys who if they don't make this top 75 within the past 25 years then they'll never make it because the list of guys who are on the doorstep and the next crop of guys in the next 25 years will grow to big
