No one scared of wounded warriors anymore with no second cap spike coming and Wiggins unmovable contract

The Warriors have enough ammo to get another star

They have the Minny 2021 first, their own first rounders for the foreseeable future, a trade exception, and young players who are getting serious PT

If they don't get Greek, they still have enough ammo to acquire a star...what team will turn down a trade exception, multiple first rounders, and young cheap players for a star?

Wiggins is a negative value contract and this is a weak draft that teams will have virtually no interaction with the top guys before selecting them.
A lot of players are negative contracts with the way maxes get handed out. They still don't have the profile of Wiggins. If he weren't good enough for what is supposedly the Warriors big plan, they wouldn't have gotten him from the Wolves.
Wiggins salary will line up with Giannis
I know, in fact it dwarfs Giannis's salary, so it can't be compared to the AD trade. You can't get 3 interesting 20 year olds, you get an established 20 a night guy the same age as Giannis.

Just that pick alone isn’t even offsetting just having to take on the Wiggins contract. No way is that bridging the gap to getting Giannis.

Wiggins + 4 or 5 first rounders + 2 pick swaps will get them Giannis

The best place for him to go to is the Raptors if Masi stays

The Warriors are interesting as always (this has been out there for years some people thought they were going to get AD if the Pelicans kept him longer but I much rather have Giannis over AD)

All y'all saying Wiggins and Minny's pick ain't enough...

How many times have traded superstars gotten equal value back? He didn't match the next LeBron hype but it's a 20 PPG wing at 26 y/o and a lottery pick. Maybe another draft pick is added but if Milwaukee felt they had to make a move it would be this or something similar.
Its just not worth it at that point. If you risk losing Giannis for nothing, at least you can contend for a year. Wiggins as a lead option will make your team 10 wins worse. He hasnt even proven that he can have a good influence as a #2 or #3 yet. I dont think the Warriors are pushing aggressively for another star, or they wouldve kept Russell. His reputation isnt tarnished like Wiggins. I thought they picked up Wiggins because they could make him work with a winning culture. Plus he adds better spacing to their lineup then Russell. If they were planning on going all out for a superstar, the Wiggins trade makes no sense. 60-70% of the league will see that contract as a burden.

Giannis has to see how going to GS made Durant an emotional weirdo who didn’t find his peace. He’s not going over there to help enhance Curry’s legacy. Toronto makes more sense for his legacy than the Warriors.

Miami makes more sense...Giannis fits with Bam, he doesn't fit with Siakam

Yeah he would. Players want to win championships and live a good lifestyle. Giannis is in his prime he don’t have time to waste. He’s not concerned about “boosting“ Curry’s legacy.

And the Warriors he’s joining aren’t the same Warriors so it wouldn’t be a cheap ring. He’s joining an early 30’s Steph, post ACL tear Klay, and a washed Draymond.

If Giannis leaves it will be for Golden State or Toronto.

You're the first person online to mention Toronto as an option. My uncle said the same thing. Apparently the connection between Giannis and Massai is deeper than most people know.

When the Lowry era ends the Giannis era will begin.......

Because you can't sell Wiggins' potential to anyone at this point. He doesn't have that anymore, especially to teams who don't just look at PPG as something amazing. Otherwise they woulda kept Parker (speaking of Parker, that's a good reason why they wouldn't value a high pick as much as some other teams.) They'd rather go for it with a player whose caliber they'll never encounter again than sell bullshyt to a fanbase who would easily tune them out.
