Sam Presti and Sixers are trying to lobby against the plan

Proposal A

Gone will be a weighted system where the worst team has 25 percent of the pingpong balls for the No. 1 overall pick and a guarantee it'll drop no lower than fourth in the draft order. Now, the worst four teams have a 12 percent chance at the first pick, No. 5 has an 11.5 percent chance, No. 6, 10 percent, and on down. What's more, the worst team can drop as far as seventh in the draft order, the second worst can drop to No. 8, and so on.

Now, the bottom three teams have 64 percent, 56 percent and 47 percent chances of getting top-three picks, and that'll change to 35 percent, virtually the same as the fourth- (35 percent) and fifth-worst (34 percent) teams.

Proposal B

The most extreme potential lottery reform would have all 14 non-playoff teams with an equal chance of nabbing the No. 1 pick.

Leave it where it is the Sixers are the only team taking tanking to new levels everyone else sucked by accident or were rebuilding with young players..this tanking thing has been so overblown

For small market teams the draft is there only hope to compete with the few big free agent destinations if u take that from them the odds will be stacked against them even more.

But teams that legitimately suck could potentially suck for years. It'll make it much, much harder to rebuild.

That's the way it is and has been. T-Wolves have had lottery pick after lottery pick and have sucked for a decade. The Clippers sucked forever. Let some teams that might actually do something with it, a shot at some of the young talent. Beyond that, there are ways outside of the draft to pull yourself up from sucking. It's much harder to pull yourself out of the dreaded middle.

Yeah but they're literally trying to trade any decent asset who might help em get a few wins even if they're young like Mwc

For the record I have no problem with it..in the nba u have almost no shot to win a title without an all time great so keep trying till u get one

My only point is I've never seen a team tank/rebuild as much as the sixers the past few years but I have no problem with it

I get that but honestly, no nikka is going to willingly go to Minnasota to play ball. No one is dying to play for the Kings. At least not until they start winning...and even then nikka a'int trying to stay around. Dwight and Shaq left a good situation in Orlando ....why? Free Agency isn't an option for some franchises...the draft is all they got.
