I’m still confused as to why y’all are acting like they don’t know shyt about about basketball.

they may not go deep into it like guys on the Ringer podcasts, but they give some good insight. I try to listen to the Hawks ringer podcast after every game they play and the dude who does it always name some crazy ass ESPN type stats & I never make it through an entire episode. I just wanna hear some shyt that I’ll hear at the barbershop or at a family cookout

Thats not an accident :usure:
It’s only tv media too. I think nba analysts on alternative media is better than the other sports too. Kobe's Detail Show had the best basketball analysis we've seen on TV in years and he would have probably killed on TV if he wanted that. He talked about body weight, positioning, broke down offensive and defensive schemes, etc. Then you have Paul Pierce and Barkley not being aware of players and how good teams are, or Barkley saying "jump shooting teams cannot win an NBA title."

Think about how much we knew about what was the West Coast Offense or the Air Corryel or the zone-blitz or the difference between a 3-4 end and 4-3 end, etc. We don't get any of that in our NBA analysis on TV. There is no explanation on what is the dominant NBA scheme. Its a joke.

Charles and Shaq are why the nba is a casuals paradise.

And why players don’t want to play In small markets. Wood played it off but he meant what he said about Shaq when calling him a casual. It’s kind of disrespectful to get called for an interview and they don’t know your game or who you are.

but it also works in your favor. Because even though you been ballin under the radar when you have that big game on national tv they’re calling it a breakout game and now ppl want you. I seen on a Heat board fans talking about they didnt want to give their up top assets for harden but would give it up for Christian Wood:stopitslime:. Same with the Celtics shyt don’t make any sense

Not just that. they’re taking schemes/offenses and applying it to every floor unit. You really only heard about 5 out with Russ and Houston after capela got traded and then before that a couple times (with the Warriors death lineup) but i was watching a Cavs game and heard them say that about the Cavs with Drummond on the floor.

I've worked with people for years, and they still can't pronounce my name right....same with teachers/professors I've had. Only trained journalists shuld be ciritiqued for mispronunciations. They do things like phonetic spellings.

But also, these dudes are HOFers. They're not gonna know names until you make a name for yourself (good or bad), or enter those discussions...especially from an era that's not theirs.

I must admit I haven't watched in years. I used to watch all the time. Charles' insight was rambling on without getting to his point and being mad about everything and shytting on everybody and being stuck in his day with the occasional funny line. Shaq's insight was either hyping his play or diminishing/ignoring his fukkery and shytting on everybody and being stuck in his day with the occasional funny line. Kenny was always good for some insight. He could also get in on the fukkery too. This might have changed but I highly doubt it. If you can get it at the barbershop, what's the point of watching it on TV? Would you tune in to an NBA game that is played at the same level as some local run?

If you want super insightful analytic stuff then you can listen to Zach Lowe & the Ringer podcast.

NBA on TNT does just fine without y’all watching who want to hear about an 8th man’s shooting percent from 18 feet out during a night game on the Monday after a holiday
