This is what a lot of dudes are championing? I understand that Kenny Shaq Barkley are funny but a lot of you think that being entertaining/funny is mutually exclusive to professionalism, knowing your shyt and adding value to the viewer's experience via analysis. The back to back MVP is a foreigner so all of this talk about they don't need to know which country foreign players are from (especially if they are becoming the face of the league and not some bench warmer) is BS.

Look at the way Mitchell responded and remember the way Christian Wood responded too.

The further away current players go from having respect for people like Shaq and Charles, and the more people begin to take notice of their poor analysis and straight up wrong takes, they're gonna find themselves sitting at a table thinking they're about to negotiate a new contract when in reality the producers are really there to talk about "transitioning to a new era of Inside the NBA"

He killed the entire dynamic of the show since he was added.
He's too petty, bytchmade, and stupid.
It was cool having one ignoramus in Chuck up there cause Kenny and Ernie were able to balance it out but with 2 of em its just too much to overcome. And Chuck wouldn't talk down to other guys he'd give em tips or somethings they could do better but Shaq flat out disrespects these players nowdays cause he has to keep himself boosted up on the NBA pantheon no matter what

Great thing about Inside the NBA used to be that even though Chuck would shyt on current players, league and wasn't taking stuff seriously, he was always willing to be the butt of the joke himself.

It was a great dynamic because Ernie and Kenny were playing straight men to his comic relief. And they would sometimes bring in newly retired player as the 4th wheel to bring fresh perspective.

With Shaq there it kills the whole vibe. He's petty, jealous, egocentric, makes everything about himself and doesn't follow the league. You can tell in that Donovan Mitchell interview that Shaq expected him to say Shaq shytting on him inspired him or something and to give Shaq props for his performance. Shaq was more salty about Mitchell not acknowledging him than Mitchell was about being insulted.

The NBA has always been a personality driven league with individuality being celebrated in the game but that’s changing.

The Shaqs and Chucks may be unprofessional but they brought a unique, bigger than life type of aura (entertaining) with them. They are being replaced with the KD, Kyrie, and Hardens now and let’s be honest, it’s gotten kinda stiff just like the game itself.

Folks wanting a more professional, analysis driven product is cool but the NBA was always better to me because it didn’t move like folks were working in corporate and that’s why it’s the Blackest professional sport ever.

I honestly believe that’s what TNT is working with on that show with Wade and the WNBA chick. At some point those guys will be too old to even be able to talk to guys off the court. Lamelo Ball the youngest ever to get a triple double was 9 years old in Shaq’s last season. Also doesn’t help that the NBA moved the game away from the style Shaq,Chuck, and Kenny played. NBA and TNT are too much in bed together from the fact that TNT runs the NBA TV programming to the fact that ring night is belongs to them it’s weird especially when you factor in Turner being the backbone behind Bleacher Report who uses memes to be a feed back loop for TNT and other shyt that’s not part of the game. I’ve noticed it years past but at a time like this with COVID it’s gross. Because of Turner we were introduced to Craig Sager the piece of shyt.
