If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
The current college model is simply untenable. It's crazy how most people are fine extolling the virtues of capitalism, but when it comes time to use that same kind of thinking in regards to "amateur" sports people are like :whoa:. "But, Mcnee St won't be able to compete with Texas, breh! :damn:"

As far as Jay Trill, "True story he bringing the team back, even the NCAA was forced to lean back." :wow:

they are getting paid..... about 60k worth of college tuition...... IF they are on scholarship,,
if you pay for college and play a sport you are hustling backwards
but if you get free schooling to play a sport then you are reimbursed

60k aint shyt when you consider how much they making off you. You can work fries at Mcdonalds 3 days a week and make 60k over four years

Paying all the players is not the answer. That shyt will not work on so many levels. I really think a simple solution is to make give 2 options -- an incoming athlete can choose to accept or decline the scholarship. If he feels he will make more money off his name than what the school is offering, then he'll go for it. For those that accept the scholarship, the school should be able to make money for the program in whatever way they see fit. :manny:

Yes it will. There are MANY models the NCAA could use to pay players. AND NO, all players should not be paid on the same level. It may not seem fair but at least they get an early introduction to the world of capitalism where your're paid based on skill and worth :manny:

If I'm at school on academic scholarship I'm not prevented from earning elsewhere
