The D (where it's so cold)
But will they stop Nike, Adidas and UA from making and selling them?

This is a great question. Because not only do they make the jerseys they design them aswell so it's a little deeper than just selling jerseys, alot of these colleges got exposure thanks to Nike designing their unis.

Are they stopping it on their website or in school stores? Cause it's a moot point if they only stopping on the site. Empty move possibly

If I'm at school on academic scholarship I'm not prevented from earning elsewhere
Underated post. What makes it even worse is these kids have basically a year round obligation to their football program. Johnny Football cant even step outside in the offseason w/o ppl snapping photos. They can't even get jobs with all the offseason practices, training and camps they go 2. Students on an academic scholarship can do whatever they want.

i'm all ears.. tell me how you'd pay everyone fairly

:mindblown: did you even read my post? I CLEARLY stated that "everyone WON'T be paid fairly and the system will be based off capitalism where your're paid based on skill and worth." Basically, with this system, we are talking about the payments of football athletes and basketball athletes because these are the main money-maker programs. If an Athlete is performing at certain tier-level, they are paid a certain percentage of money made from the events they participate in or money made from their "likeness or name," (basically from video games or jersey sales, etc.). The lower down the scale you go, the lower your percentage is because realistically, you're not generating shyt.

Not to mention, students on academic scholarships isn't generating billions of dollars per year into the NCAA.

The NCAA is stuck in between a rock and a hard place. Most of the top power conferences are in favor of breaking away into a new division and paying players. No matter how powerful the NCAA may be, they are holding back institutions that have billion dollar endowments and boosters pumping money into their school's programs like it's nothing. If anyone is going to blink first it is more than likely going to be the NCAA.

And I don't know if anybody wants either of those, really.

Say the SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 12 bounced and started paying players - NO big recruits in
Miami would go to Miami or Florida State over Florida, would they? How good would those
rivalry games be?

And in either situation, you would have the conversations:

- "are they paying ______ to much, because he's wack now"
- recruits saying "you paid (star who's leaving school playing same position) this much. I'm better than him,
so I want more money..."
- I mean look at what's going on with Johnny Manziel. How much extra funk would be on it if he was
supposed to re-up and get Heisman Winner bread this offseason?
