The ports of L.A are all that is needed to the Loyalty Sates, same with New Orleans. A lot of these states would get a quick humbling reality check if this ever happened.

The Loyalist States will just repeat what they did in the Civil War. The movie map shows they control the Midwest States, which means they control a good portion of the major rivers (Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio). They would just go down the Mississippi River and take control of it down to New Orleans like they did during the Vicksburg Battle IRL. Once they control the Mississippi River/New Orleans, they'd control the Gulf of Mexico. Then the Florida Alliance would be attacked from both sides with the Loyalists from South Carolina and above coming down the coast from the East and the forces in New Orleans coming across from the West. Florida would be surrounded. This was essentially what Sherman and Grant did to Georgia/the Carolinas/Virginia. They took the Mississippi then tightened the belt around the other Southern States from both sides.

Texas would fall for the same reason.

The only regions that would hold off are the Western Forces and California due to their defensible terrain.

Making alliances with good people, and having strong laws is more my thing.
Even some of my white neighbors appear to be nice people.
So if a bad situation like earthquake or covid type of stuff happened, I would give them water.
I say that to say, we all can benefit our communities in different ways.

Concerning that other thing, you have to look up the laws upstate for those things.
Think you have to live here for a certain amount of years.
Have 3 people write letters of recommendation for you.
Then schedule a meeting with a judge and explain to them why you need it.

Seemed like a lot of extra shyt to me.
What I have done though is be cordial with a lot of the town officials, and officers.
Many of them know me well.
