Ngata being back is going to be a big problem for NE. If nothing else thatll open up the edge rushers when they double Ngata..Pats O-Line isnt experienced enough and Brady isnt mobile enough to be consistently effective if he gets moved off his perch. Im expecting jumbo sets and more of that random FB the Pats have to help up the middle to give Brady an extra second or two to find someone down the field. The Pats should be favored by about 7.5-8.5 but I dont see a 2 TD win as suggested by someone above unless Balt really shyts the bed and NE does an extraordinary job in pass pro
The Pats adequately handled interior rushes most of the year after that first 4 game stretch. Brady having trouble when he cannot step up is not some sort of epiphany. It is true for any QB who has ever played the game. People just make a bigger deal out of it with Tom because he's not as mobile. We saw it with Ben today. Ngata in the run game will be a bigger problem for the Pats than he is in the passing game (most likely). If the Pats can establish the run and start using play-action then the Ravens will have trouble. The Pats defense should be able to contain the Ravens by eliminating the running and big plays.

We will see if Joe can throw into tight windows to beat us.

I feel that. The line has definitely settled into a bit of a groove...Ngata is All-Pro level talent though..my main point was that those early offensive line problems could re-emerge because of Ngata's presence moreso than their lack of ability. A lot of young guys on the line and ya never know how they will react in the playoffs. Its at least plausible that Ngata could really disturb the Pats offense. That goes for the run and the pass game.

Pats can easily put up points on Balt..but it isnt an ideal matchup for them. Thing is that Tom doesnt have that explosive guy like Antonio (or their other speedy Wr's for that matter)...Gronk is going to have to make some magic happen (and I expect him to) and one would think they might utilize Vereen a bit more in the pass game as well. Blount went 13 for 31 in both games combined against Baltimore while with the Steelers...One wouldnt expect him to have much success..but he did go 16 for 76 and 2 tds in 2013 against them with NE so he really is a huge wildcard in this game.

Like I said, I expect NE to be around 8 point favorites..I really think Balt is going to have a tougher time putting up points than NE..If I had to say now..Id put it at about 24-17 NE..either way its going to be an intriguing matchup.

From 2010

After the loss, Suggs said that Tom Brady “made some plays . . . But like I said, he just better hope he don’t see us again.”

At one point in the game, Brady and Suggs were seen jawing after a hit on Brady. Suggs was asked what the two men talked about:

“He was trying to tell me how to bag a Hollywood actress,” Suggs said via the Boston Herald. “He
said, ‘If you want to get a Hollywood actress, take my seminar on
Saturday.’ …He was going over the Dow and the economy and politics. He
doesn’t really talk football that much.”

Suggs’ answer was pretty funny, but Brady didn’t sound overly amused on his Monday morning appearance on WEEI.

“Well, he had his chance so maybe if he gets another chance he can try
to back those words up,” Brady said in comments transcribed by the Boston Globe. “We play those guys a lot and they’ve only beat
us once . . . they talk a lot for only beating us once in nine years.”

PFT

Obviously things have changed since 2010. But ya, these teams do not get along.

Tho to be fair, Beli loves Harbs and Bisciotti. Weird hate game man.

The Pats O-line is not young. It was young for the first few games as they tried out rookies. Connolly and Wendell are the starting guards and both played center for us before. Solder and Vollmer are vets, even though Solder is on his first contract. Those back ups do not start save for Cameron Fleming when they bring in a 6th lineman on running plays. Stork is a rookie but the two guards on the side of him are veterans that have played center before and help coach him up out there.

If they can manage the Broncos, Jets, Bills, and Lions when healthy then they should be able to handle B-more. Their problem is really that Solder gets killed on the outside a lot. His play trickles down. If you watch the Packers game, it was Clay Mathews and guys coming from the outside that were getting to Brady for the most part. The O-line is far from great, but they are capable. Lack of an interior pass rush is a bigger issue.

The Patriots do not need to have an explosive guy to put up a bunch of points. They need the run game to work and then Brady finds guys in the seams and Lafell on the outside. I certainly wish they had a consistently large deep threat, but they do not need one to win. I think the key here is whether the Pats can get Baltimore off the field because in the past few games Baltimore would convert on 3rd and have long drives that kept Brady on the sideline. If the Pats defense shows up, the Pats will eventually wear Baltimore down on offense.

Los Angeles
and they say the NBA doesnt have parity.....same teams every year smh
:comeon:Since 99 only 6 different teams won championships and 11 times the trophy went to the West who've been dominatin wit 2 dynasties, Lakers/Spurs have won 5 apiece along wit 1 from the Mavs meanwhile in the East besides Wade's one man dynasty gettin 3 championships only 2 other East teams won a finals series and they both were 1 and done. WAY more parity in the NFL.

Lol word. Ravens pats broncos been in the final 8 3 years straight
:usure:And for all those times in the "final 8" just 1 combined SB win between them in the last 10 years, elite teams in every major sport are always gonna go deep in the postseason for as long as they're elite but unlike the NBA teams ain't just repeatin let alone 3peatin all willy nilly cause its extremely difficult to just win once. The Pats dynasty winnin 3 in 4 years is the closest the NFL is gonna get to a Lakers 3peat.

The Pats are going to win.

They're a better team compared to last time, more offensive weapons and a better secondary.

The Ravens on the other hand have a weak secondary, and with Revis and Browner on the Smith's....they'll have to rely heavily on a run game. Forsett isn't that good, so he's not a big threat.

Oh yeah, and they're playing in Foxboro.
