When's the last time kendrick rapped about "this crap"? Kendrick social commentary raps are always overly-symbolic spiritual raps, pull yourself up by the bootstraps perserverance anthems, and how black people need to do better in the system.If kendrick was to spit the exact same verse, I'd admit it's above average at best. All that other shyt aside, I don’t see how you can listen to Cole and not respect his pen, lyricism and consider him one of the GOATS of his era.
