12/16 CU of RDNA 3.5.... mehhhh. So, a gaming centric Strix Halo.

I was really hoping for 3X performance jump for a 16/24 CUs models. 2X/3X

SteamDeck was 8 CU of RDNA 2.0.

This has to have FSR4 support. It won't have the 5 watt efficiency as the Deck from what I've seen of these Z chips

Planning on selling my Deck OLED next week. Going to wait for a FSR4 device since it's legitimately as good as DLSS.

If I can just download games to it and play anywhere without an internet connection I would get this.

Here is the performance non-AI verison. 16 CU model. Which is like 1.4X better on most titles than SteamDeck at 15 watts.

Would need FSR4 for me to be interested

This is a nice piece of hardware to be honest but I'm not biting. I'm not buying any more hardware until I know what the next consoles are set for and then I'll get a new gaming pc and handheld above those specs.

You should have an ally x or steam deck already. These things allow you to play full console games on the go. Whatever major comes out on the pc, i play on my ally x through steam or pc game pass. Indian Jones i was running high fps at 900p. Older games like DMK5 my fps is in the 100s.

Win 11 Home?

I'm kinda disappointed if all they did was switch on Game Mode and full screen the Xbox app. Would be expected, but still disappointing.

Nothing beats streaming a game with max settings on my steam deck. Hopefully this keeps pushing the premium portable further.

I have had the ally x and returned it…. I’m good… also don’t like the design. But good for them :wow:
What made you return it?

The behind the scenes video and the linus video someone posted goes into detail. It's essentially just something that handheld gamers have been asking for, especially when it comes to Game Pass.

It removes the desktop and certain PC functions that are standard to Windows 11 but not necessarily needed to play games on other handhelds. So in concept you get more memory and battery life and an integrated game menu for each launcher to get straight to the games. Kind of something that seems minor but no other handheld has managed to do this (for multiple launchers) and so people complain about the power draw of Windows 11 standard UI as well as having to side load.
