Nah, That's not always the case- it's not always about entertainment value. Suburban environments are very isolating at times, very cookie cutter - even the mentalities. Lack of culture, car is a necessity, commute times etc. Quality of life is a major factor depending on the person - saving money and living way out but too depressed bc there's nowhere to go and nothing to do, closed off- annoying notices for not trimming your shrubs and hedges, neighbors who you don't care to interact with, suburban sprawl . Same types of people, same stores, lack of variety, no diversity.
True, but at the same time, you cannot let landlords jack up rent prices to unaffordable levels. Some places, rent TRIPLED in the last 12 years and people are broker than ever. While those same landlords are taking home record amount of profits, which causes the wealth gap to increase. No matter how much demand there is, you got to set limits because thats the only thing that prevent the homeless rate from skyrocketing.
