2013 offense lost pieces, and didn't really replace them anywhere except RB.'
Fez more or less was in line with what he's done all his career. The decline in his play was gradual in some ways, consistent in some other aspects
Ivory/Goodson SHOULD be an upgrade. SHOULD. If the Jets are playing from behind, they may not have much more impact than Greene did.
The O-Line is better than people give it credit, and they're right in that Fez caused many of those turnovers (and with Colon/Peterman/Winters, better guards). The biggest liability on that line is D'Brick and has been since Wayne's been gone.
If Fez plays, even a marginally better Fez is a bottom 5 QB.
If Geno plays, then Fez was historically bad again, because Fez will have a long leash.
The offense can be every bit as bad because the infusion of talent isn't there. The most talented playmaker is Holmes and he's PUP.

Cro played very well. That said, any mention of Cro being better than Revis since 2011 even though the first CB people wanted gone was Cro is laughable (and I wanted Cro back, still glad he's here, but if they had dealt Cro and found a way to keep Revis, no one would be saying this)
At best, you can say the same issue with the CB's remains unless MIlliner turns out to be Revis-lite.
The sign of optimism is really hoping that Idzik is able to find bums off the street and make them into serviceable players, something the Jets have done worse than any other team in the NFL. The team simply can't sustain a decent window of winning if they need a first or 2nd rounder at virtually every position.
