Loved Revis- but everyone has this vision that 2009 was the norm, when it wasnt.

The first holdout then pulling his hammy.
Knee issues in 2011
Concussion then the ACL in 2012
Sean Gilbert being a pain in the ass....

Cro has been awesome and his seaosn last year, on a bad team was second only to Revis 2009 from Jets QB's since 2009

Getting separation? When? I was at that game. It was a blowout when Marahall got those cheap yards.
:heh:

Ok I watched the game on tv. Which yards are we allowed to count?

This isnt taking away from Revis but his 2011 wasnt as good as Cro's season last year.

Counter:
2013 offense lost pieces, and didn't really replace them anywhere except RB.'
Fez more or less was in line with what he's done all his career. The decline in his play was gradual in some ways, consistent in some other aspects
Ivory/Goodson SHOULD be an upgrade. SHOULD. If the Jets are playing from behind, they may not have much more impact than Greene did.
The O-Line is better than people give it credit, and they're right in that Fez caused many of those turnovers (and with Colon/Peterman/Winters, better guards). The biggest liability on that line is D'Brick and has been since Wayne's been gone.
If Fez plays, even a marginally better Fez is a bottom 5 QB.
If Geno plays, then Fez was historically bad again, because Fez will have a long leash.
The offense can be every bit as bad because the infusion of talent isn't there. The most talented playmaker is Holmes and he's PUP.

Wilkerson =beast
Cro played very well. That said, any mention of Cro being better than Revis since 2011 even though the first CB people wanted gone was Cro is laughable (and I wanted Cro back, still glad he's here, but if they had dealt Cro and found a way to keep Revis, no one would be saying this)
At best, you can say the same issue with the CB's remains unless MIlliner turns out to be Revis-lite.

The sign of optimism is really hoping that Idzik is able to find bums off the street and make them into serviceable players, something the Jets have done worse than any other team in the NFL. The team simply can't sustain a decent window of winning if they need a first or 2nd rounder at virtually every position.

Basically the upside for the offense is eliminating the bad turnovers and improvement from the running game along with the backs being involved in the passing game. Dont care which QB its from, but for either to duplicate the amount of TO's from last season is damn near impossible. Also Sporano being gone, thank god.

I didn't think anything would top @Trip Melo agenda but we found a new one.

Revis was a beast 11, Remember him blanking Dez forcing that Romo Fumble & than getting the pick to win it.

Cromartie is the reason the Giants won the Superbowl in '11. If Revis was the one on Cruz we'd never hear the end of it from you.

What's my agenda?

:heh:

I was just regurgitating the stats from FO who literally chart every player and every snap of every season.

Revis was a beast in 2011, no shyt- Cromarties 2012 just happened to be better. If you're a Jets fan, that's a good thing.

Jets should have traded him too, a 3 win team holding on to a player like Cro for?

Ok...I provided context to show you how scant your stats were? Agenda? Since when has context been that?

LOL

Why should the Jets trade a top 5 player at the position, with a relatively low cap number?

Why not trade a player whose value as it's highest, he hadn't shown in the past to be that type of player (despite being good). Especially when it's a rebuild
When you play at that level, if you regress just a little it is very noticeable.

I didnt even see this gem.
We're dominating them, that one play changed the game on it's head.

Cro wasnt even on Cruz on that play. Yeah, missed tackle, Wilson missed him too(and was actually matched up with him)

Cromartie had a total of 4 missed tackles last season. He's a FA after the 2014 season, so the opportunity for a trade is still there- either during year this year or the offseason. Depending on im sure on Milliner's season.

Austin Collie working out with the Jets today. Apparently looking to have the first death on the field attributed to them.
