without knowing who the new QB will be that will be tough. What I'd do is pretty much plan for the next guy. Get players that you can put any skilled QB in. There are 32 teams in the league. Some have pronounced offensive systems, others you can't tell me what they run.

First of all, get new scouts that can help provide depth. Our team has too much of a fall off from the starter to the next guy, and our starters are nothing to write home about.

If there was one guy I'd go after on offense as a free agent if possible is Jared Cook. I think he's much less of a bytch than Keller and can be a nice safety valve than you can utilize much more. Other than that, really make the draft and every pick count. We don't value the draft as much and that killed us. Too many players get signed off the scrap heap or late in the draft that become serviceable guys elsewhere. Jets need to hit on some of those guys because if you look at the team, most of the guys there are high picks. It's a hard model to sustain. Kerley's been a valued member because of where he got picked. Alfred Morris was a 6th round pick and ran for 1600+ yards. Jets need to treat every pick as if it were a first round pick.

I wouldn't mind Jared Cook. Or Fred Davis for that matter

And I just finish watching Francesa's babbling.

What a tool. Just taking every opportunity he can to bash Rex, like he's been doing since the beginning. And talking about how "Rex abandoned Mr. T when he was at his side the whole time and let him take the hit for his mistakes".

You mean kinda like how Tanny did the same thing to Eric Mangini 4 years ago?

it's like you said, the parcells love came out of him, parcells actually sold the jets on rex before they hired him!

No surprise here. Fatcessa is a Parcells guy. Tannenbaum is a Parcells guy.

Connect the dots

Francessa and Parcells had a falling out thyere no longer friends

This is about Mikes hatred of Rex.. its been personal with him and Rex since hes killed Rex for bragging about making the playoffs after beating the Colts when they sat Manning

So I was at work last night, and I couldn't hear what was said (I think it was on Around the Horn) .. something about 'would the Jets be smart to trade Revis for something now, enabling them to absorb a cap hit if they chose to release Fez outright and go get another QB?'

Did I read that right, or am I way off? If so, what was said?
