He's not done like that, but who knows what he's got after that injury? He could be significantly slower and now need safety help all the time.

What we do know is he is going to want to be paid out the ass, that's a fact.

You keep dropping 20+ mil into 2 corners and you`ll never have anything worse dropping money into.

I'd rather wait til Idzik actually drafts some good players to know whether it's worth trusting his instinct or not.

I hear you, but check it out.

Darrelle Revis-New York Jets trade talk heating up - NFL.com

They say teams are ready to pay the price.

I think he's as good as gone, and I think it's a smart move. Milk it and get as much as you can.

so should they get rid of everyone else? If they're gonna start over, don't half-ass it. I feel bad for Idzik because he's on the hot seat before he even makes a transaction, but they better be ready for the blackouts.

EDIT: the article can't compare this to Peyton Manning. The Colts let him go because they had Andrew Luck in the cut. They would have kept him if they didn't. It's not like the Jets have a replacement set for Revis anywhere on the field. That #9 is a complete unknown.

Start over for what?

Yall were 8-8 in 2011 with Revis

6-10 in 2012 without him, it was a TWO game differential.

I think if you're a Jets fan at least this shows you maybe Rex isn't running the show afterall, and maybe this Idzik guy actually isn't a puppet.

And they're gonna lose at least 11-12 games IF Revis comes back, I genuinely believe they'll lose 14 games next year if he's not back. Between the schedule and the fact that in reality, Fez will start next year with a bunch of new weapons he won't know how to use and with the damn near certainty of having a completely revamped secondary (let's be honest, if you're gonna deal Revis over money and health, why bring Landry back?) this team won't be worth shyt, and if we really wanna talk long term, going out of your way to lose that many games at least has a silver lining: you get to pick either Clowney, Johnny Football or Teddy Bridgewater -- none of that involving anything we get back from Revis anyway.

no one on the jets is worth keeping EXCEPT revis, you build the team around him. that means everyone else should be on the block/cut

Bradshaw released by the Giants. Should we make an offer? :leon:

Bradshaw isnt explosive at all...maybe our scouts could get their heads out of their asses and actually find a back thats worth a damn in the draft.

True, but he did have some carries for some yards. He was pretty good til he got injured and that rookie (his name escapes me :guilty: all but replaced him. I think I'd rather him than Greene. :ld:

Bradshaw in limited time broke and eluded more tackles than Shonn Greene last season
