Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I would say everyone needs to live in NYC for a short while (1 -2 years max)

1) crowded
2) dirty
3) weather trash 10 months out the year
4) expensive
5) lack of space
6) public transportation
8) in my line of work some of the staff extremely lazy compared to other cities
9) beaches are trash

Pros
1) any type of food you want
2) native NYers are some of the friendliest and most interesting people I’ve met
3) something to do 365 days a year

You described the cons of almost every major city

:mjlol:

Those are the cons you have to deal with living in just about any major City.

When I traveled to LA back in 2017 the first thing I noticed that it was crowded, dirty, expensive, lack of public transportation etc.

Of course the major Pro was the weather.

Another thing that annoyed me was that people outside of LA have this vision that people are living the Beverly Hills life but when you visit LA most people are middle class, working class, and poor living their lives day to day on a paycheck.

nikkas might legit pull up on him if he ran on that platform...he doesn't understand just how many people in this city have nothing to do during the daytime :russ:

They'll hop the turnstile to get wherever he is just to whoop his ass for suggesting getting rid of MTA

DC has the best mass transportation in the country to me.

Technology wise yes it does but the system?

A two track system with no express that charges you by the mile?

DC has the most expensive subway in America and from what I understand their infrastructure is facing challenges as well.

Best mass transportation compared to what?? A trolley?
WMATA trains don't even have an express train. It takes damn near 2 hrs to get from any DMV suburb into DC, which is normally a 45 minute drive.
There's never any parking at the metro stations during peak hours - which means you have to commute to find a place to park mad out of the way to your route, take a shuttle or uber to the train station, just to catch a train into downtown DC, by the time you do all that, it's like fuk it, might as well drive the whole damn way in.
VRE is slow as fuk, MARC is ok. Trains are always delayed all the time bc some random person decides it's a good idea to take an excursion on the train tracks and become a train ornament.
Amtrak, Norfolk-Southern and whatever 40 car freight train that takes 20 mins to pass by, runs on the same lines and tracks as VRE and MARC- forget getting to your destination on time if either one of those are held up, usually if their is a leaf on the track or if the temp outside is lower than 40 degrees in the winter or above 80 degrees in the summer.

What info? That poster didn't say shyt.. none of that was original or thought provoking :what:

:childplease:. The info was the opinion of a NYC resident about why they don't like living there. That interests me more than someone who doesn't live there speaking on it. I didn't ask for originality or thought provoking commentary, just for the poster to expound on their opinion.

As a DC native I'd take NYC's subway any day of the week :mjlol:

DC's metro is cleaner, but it's nowhere near as efficient. My commute this morning on the Red Line was :francis:
DC trains have carpet installed on them but stay operating at the levels of the 42nd street shuttle with 6 car long trains and 500,000 commuters coming in from DC, MD and VA.
