Especially if you dont have a vehicle...

I'd go crazy if I lived there.

You gotta go to the grocery store like 2-3 days b/c you dont have a vehicle or something to stock up on a bunch of stuff at once. You're carrying everything on the bus/subway. Is it not a pain in the ass to buy something big like a huge TV or a sofa?

What if you just want to get away from people for a bit? You dont have a vehicle to drive around and just zone out/relax.....you cant be too loud b/c you got 10 ppl living all around you.

In some areas, there's buildings everywhere blocking out the sunlight for most of the day

I guess you got Central Park or a couple other parks, but they're probably still packed with ppl all the time.

What do y'all do when you don't wanna be bothered or just chill? :ld:

Most places are open until Late night. You can find plenty of shops within waking distance. They usually have free delivery for stuff like that. And how many people have cars big enough to carry TVs and Sofas :leostare:

there's plenty of quiet areas believe it or not and plenty of buildings you can get pretty loud

I hadta dap, breaux.

One of the best things about living here is just gassin' up my chit and ridin' out bumpin' some Project Pat when I just wanna max.

New York imo really does not accomodate a lot of the amenities trill-ass niccas would like.

:beli: I bought a 60 inch TV, put in an SUV....you can put a decent sized sofa in a pickup truck or SUV as well.

When I was in Harlem, the closest stores we went to required walking several blocks or taking a bus. Who wants to do that in the middle of the NYC winter?

Word. Even a quick trip to the bodega up the block in the dead of winter with dirty snow and ice on the ground would have me like

But :laff: at people taking the train to do their grocery shopping. There's hood supermarkets everywhere, no need to have to take the train or bus somewhere, unless you elderly and/or handicapped. And even then, most folks will call the local Dominican car service to come and scoop them up and take them back home.

Many grocery stores & all electronics/furniture stores deliver.

Trains/buses/cars.
Walls aren't paper thin.

False.

Stay inside? Travel?

You'd be surprised how residential NYC is outside of Manhattan.

New Yorkers are built for anything. Most residential areas are nearby a really popular strip where everyone does their shopping. We're used to it.

NY
It's easy, and I like being able to go out late w/o needing a car :ld:
If it wasn't for the nastiness; cost of living, and weather, I would probably never consider leaving NY.
