you sound like a foreigner. grocery stores are everywhere, 24 hr bodegas on every block in the hood, what's the problem?

Right now I live in a nice quiet part of Queens :ahh: noise isn't an issue at all....guess what though, I'm only 15 minutes away from the hood so it aint like people gotta travel far to get some peace and quiet.

I liked the Ridgewood section of Queens; right close to Brooklyn, so I could always go down Myrtle Ave. and down to Knickerbocker (springtime when the mamis start taking all the winter clothes off... :ahh: :whoo:) and people watch.

You can do all of those things in New York. The only difference is, we have a choice. And those choices come in handy sometimes. For instance, it's easier to get up at 5am and grind for some paper when you all you gotta do is make it to the train and close your eyes until you reach your stop, instead of having to drive.

There's pros and cons everywhere. New York ain't perfect, but on a saturday night, would I wanna be a 25 yr old man with money in his pocket anywhere else? Maybe, but unlikely.

The grocery store is on the corner.

You can also order your groceries straight to your door.

It's not that serious.

I actually miss it. Driving everywhere is annoying as fukk.
basically, I am actually looking forward to go back.

Nothing wrong with a train ride. My gf is 15 mins on the g train. I wouldn't drive because there is no parking on her block. If we want to go into the city, 20 min ride on the F and I'm in Times Square. But I rarely go because Brooklyn has too many spots to go and chill and are even a 10 min bus ride. Me and my gf both live in quiet parts of Brooklyn (I'm in Clinton hill, she is in kenningston). No loud noises, no rowdiness, just people going about their business.

As far as women, outside the city, hoes expect a car. In the city? I can still go and pick shorty up and take a train ride and talk. Not have to worry about parking. Gas. My job gives me free metro cards! I haven't paid for a train ride in 6 years. My savings is lovely. I love where I'm at. But eventually if I have a family, I'm out.
