Having your rent frozen for 20 years is some wild shyt. There has to be a middle ground between that and gentrification blowing shyt outta proportion.

3. Not investing in City Infrastructure.
Which causes maintenance, commodities, construction materials, and transportation costs to rise exponentially just to maintain apartment buildings

please break down how socialism is a part of this, that's such an absurd and contradictory statement. Right wingers always use socialism and communism wrong. I shouldn't even entertain the rest of that shyt but there some questions. I live in Canada and my family lives around the world. Inflation is up everywhere. which government are you blaming? were they all practising socialism? did they all fail to invest in city infrastructure and fukk up supply chains? Because what you describing is a current global issue not a national one. please juelz some answers for me.
i didn't blame landlords just said housing is a right more than a business. it needs to be re-evaluated in our societies for the greater good.

the IG post doesn't even show the apartment. for all we know it's 75sq ft.
He is not alone I know a couple of people that have been living in the same apartment for decades (70's & 80's) and pay between $500 and $900 in rent controlled apartments. Their problem is the landlord don't repair shyt and they learned from their neighbors that allowed the landlord to "renovate" their apt only to increase the price crazy or some how make the old apartments smaller. They just use the money they are not spending on rent to fix what they can when they can.

And capitalism isn't going to avoid any of that. A whole bunch of landlords make themselves easy targets. Housing should be a right, mixed in with privately owned housing. If you don't like what's in the government owned buildings, then go to a private one. The bottom line is that people need to live, and need places that are affordable.

I've realized number #1 rule of a Socialist supporter is to ignore the fact that the Government has to have a monopoly on certain aspects of society for Socialism to exist. And when Government are failing in those aspects, pretend Socialism has nothing to do with the government

When a government mismanages and underfunds infrastructure, it causes everything to get fukked up. The Supply chain, maintenance costs, inflation, commodity prices, transportation/shipping costs, etc etc
And when Government fukks up, every other Industry and Small Business is hampered by it. Which is the reason apartment rents are sky high. So you say "housing should be a right"... then call up the Government and ask why they don't think so
