And it didn't matter if they were worse. He wasn't winning those games anyway. NOTHING he could have done was gonna save his season, but trying something other than status quo would have gotten him more sympathy than what he has now. Are you not understanding that? He's the coach, not the GM. If they're supposedly on equal footing, why would I leave myself vulnerable to getting the boot because my equal didn't hold up his end? All that loyalty might get him fired while the guy who put the team together gets another year. Bowles coulda avoided that (and still might). Once the season was a lost cause (so week 3 or 4), he shoulda played every player who wasn't worth shyt to show everyone he didn't have shyt. Instead he insisted something that wasn't working was gonna work.
Last time I checked, the only big free agent they signed this past offseason was Forte. I'm talking about just this season.
