The deal will allow YouTube viewers to stream nearly all of the N.F.L. games on Sunday next season, except those aired on traditional television in their local markets.:blessed:

Can someone please explain what Google/youtube TV is getting?

Are they buying games that are usually broadcast on cbs,NBC, and Fox on Sundays

I'm assuming they'd have exclusive rights to sell the NFL package.

they already broadcast all the other games (local sunday/sunday night/monday/thursday) via the channels u already get. YTTV also has the red zone channel as well.

If this shyt is trash I’m done with the NFL.

NBA, NLB, NHL, even MLS all have their shyt together regarding streaming.

No fukking excuses for the NFL now.

They are getting games that are not being broadcast in your local area market (Fox and CBS).
It’s so fukking stupid to not allow streaming of local broadcasts. I mean, it would just literally be a copy of what you’d see coming over the antenna, local commercials and all. Just with out the shytty ass HDTV reception. Who is this harming?

You can still stream local games their just on CBS, fox and blacked out in the Sunday ticket package.

It goes like this for me, if the commanders are on fox and I click the sunday ticket channel it's on (ex. 705) it says it's blacked out and takes me to the fox channel.

Another easy $2B a year for the NFL, the league is now further into the streaming world and Google is finally in the game.

DirecTV Stream is about to raise my fukkin price again, too? :jbhmm:

Wonder what the price breakdown is gonna be? I have Youtube TV and to me it feels like the best streamer out there. I'd subscribe to Redzone if it was standalone, don't feel like it's worth 20 with the other channels I'd never watch...

It's your local Fox/CBS stations.

Viewership through Sunday Ticket isn't tracked for ratings/viewership, so you're funnelled to methods that CAN be tracked (the channels themselves, the Fox site/application, and Paramount Plus). So, the idea is that if those are the only legit sources to watch local games, it's going to at least juice the local viewership. It's how you end up with those year end stats with teams pulling ratings in the 40 percent range for their market.

I've had YTTV for almost 3 years. it allows u to create 5 sub accounts, so while the account belongs to my brother in law, it's like 5 of us using it. I'm paying under $20 a month for all the live tv I want, which I rarely watch. but for that price, I have no complaints compared to the price of cable.
Non 6 fig 6 cert Coli niccas better start getting their power 5 groups together and split that shyt :smoker:
