A lot of teams don't have the institutional knowledge at developing QBs.

A great QB coach makes a huge difference as a lot of young players need to work on their mechanics.
Forget all that. We don't have the patience anymore for it as fans. shyt, you might want to and know how to develop a QB, but if it takes time, forget it. Put it this way. The Jets drafted Bryce Petty 4th round. He's clearly a guy who needs developmental time. Meanwhile, some Jets fans are like "if Fitz gets hurt just throw Petty out there and see what he's got" as if it is conducive to future success. Ultimately management will cave because they got jobs to keep and we don't have the tolerance to sit through stop gap seasons for an uncertainty.

Even baseball to a lesser degree is starting to feel this effect, especially in light of all the talent that came up this year and put in work.

The GMs in both nba and nfl just can't help themselves.

in the NFL they complain about the quality of their 1st rd draft picks. Well...if thats proven then don't draft those guys in the first round...if you get more out of an LT or WR, don't draft a scrambling qb early :dahell: OR, draft a pocket QB, they still exist in college. And if option QBs don't get drafted, prospects will REFUSE to BE on in college.

in the nba they complain about salaries and value..well..don't pay those guys the money...don't give "Max contracts" to guys with ZERO ASGs
Supply and demand Gizzle. You should know this by now. In the NBA the worst thing you can do as a GM is come back empty handed.
