NBA is popular on a national level where they can market their stars. The season is just entirely too long- the Kings have 41 home games that no one gives a shyt about. The season takes almost 9 months to complete.

Shorten the season, eliminate 2 playoff teams from each conference and you'll have a more compelling product.

I know this thread was bumped from 2014 but NBA surpassed MLB in popularity at some point in the 2000s. No way MLB was more popular than the NBA in 2014.


I'm not a baseball hater, I LOVE baseball. But I am not delusional ethier. Sidenote MLB had a much better product in the 2000s though, even hopeless franchises like the Angels, White Sox and Rockies made World Series appearances
